Are Obamao's Libya Moves Impeachable?

I know that we are likeminded in the direction the Obama

Administration is taking our country. The following message

is from Mat Staver, Founder and President of Liberty Counsel.

I urge you to read Mat's message and join me in this important

campaign to right the direction of our nation.

+ + + + + + + + + + + +

Yesterday, Representative Charlie Rangel (D-NY) told CNS News

that President Obama did not have constitutional authority

to use military force in Libya without congressional approval.

When asked if the President's action is an impeachable

offense, Rangel said that Congress would have to make

that decision. However, he added that he would "like

to believe" members of Congress will closely examine

the issue.

Unfortunately, Congress is unlikely to seriously look into

the issue. It is not politically "expedient" to hold the

President accountable while his party holds a majority in

the United States Senate.

Nonetheless, we have President Obama's and Vice President

Biden's own words in statements calling this type of

action unconstitutional when THEY were attacking

former President George W. Bush!

Mike, there is an unchecked arrogance, even a

condescending, elitist mindset evident in the Obama White

House. The President behaves as though he is somehow

above the law!

This Administration seems to believe that the Constitution

is pliable and subject to political expedience. They act

as though their insights are greater than our Founding

Fathers and the statesmen who gave shape and content to

the Constitution!

++The Obama Administration presumes it is "bigger" than

the presidency.

No man is bigger than the office he is elected to hold.

Through carefully crafted checks and balances, our

Founders made sure that no office holder would be more

"empowered" than the Constitution allowed.

Barack Obama's subversion of our Constitution must

be stopped! Those colluding with him in Congress,

the Administration, the federal bureaucracy, State

offices, and any other position of public trust

must also be held accountable.

Liberty Counsel is continuing to demand that elected

officials (all of them!) live up to their Oaths of

Office - or be FIRED, RECALLED, or IMPEACHED.

Mike, if you also believe that we, the American

People, should demand the proper use of constitutional

authority, accountability, transparency, and respect

for the rule of law - in short, to defend the Constitution

of the United States - then you should immediately sign

our "Defend the Constitution" Declaration!

many tens of thousands of your fellow concerned

Americans - to your Representative, Senators, and

other key congressional leaders.

We will also publish your views to government bureaucrats,

the media, and anywhere else it is strategically advantageous.

I believe we can (and in these circumstances, MUST)

immediately deliver 100,000 signed copies of this

important Declaration to those who need to be reminded

that there are limits on their power!

to you in the hope that you will "Defend the

Constitution" in accordance with the timeless

principles it contains.

their children and grandchildren to also have a copy of this

for our nation's governance. In fact, over 60,000 of your

fellow concerned Americans have already signed the Declaration.

Yes. Very Seriously.

You have a "president" who insisted that Bush had no authority to go into Iraq or Pakistan unless they

were an emminent threat to us... and must have Congressional approval.

Sure, so NOW, he went into Libya with no Congressional approval. Which the hell is it, "seriously" ???

His stupid vp (Sarah Palin would have been a smarter vp, btw) was talking about it being an impeachable offense when

Bush went to battle, and THAT was with congressional approval.

Which the hell IS IT? "Seriously" ???

Obamao has a multitude of "czars", bypassing Congressional authority to approve, completely - who have the authority to RUN their respective depts.

That isn't an advisor role like Bush had. And yes, that's "seriously".

Obamao and Clinton are still maneuvering to enforce some semblance of gun control via the UN. That's in the face of our 2nd Amendment.

And the fraud of having ATF LET GUNS be knowingly bought by Mexican illegals involved in criminal activity... apprarently to give some artificial credence

to his and Hillary's insistence to continue where the UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT said they can NOT GO.

Of course, Obamaocare has been declared UNCONSTITUTIONAL. You really thought that Obamao was a "Constitutional" expert? Seriously?

Remember when this Obamao nutcase embarrassed the UNITED NATIONS SUPREME COURT in front of the entire assembly for his address, because they ruled

that corps could donate to political causes just like their arrogant, sold out to Democrats one and all, do? You don't get the contradiction by Obamao there?

The complete disdain for the top court in our country? The complete disdain for our Constitution that he swore to defend, and isn't?

it was fine by you that it was "impeachable" with Bush, but not with Obamao, because he's your guy? Seriously? nah. you can't be serious.

Toop, I'd say we need to take this situation, replace the name Obama with Bush and see if the reaction has been similar across the board.

Especially in the light of Afghanistan.

If for no other reason than to get a grip on the born again hawks.

If the point of the post is: how can Dems support a move that they would obviously oppose if undertaken by neocons, then the post has merit. If the point is: we shold impeach obama, then it's absurd. Honestly, I can't say I know which it is. Either point couldve been made in a single sentence rather than whatever c&p job that was.

Either way I give the president a pretty wide berth as to when to send troops.

Any president.

I also think going to congress hat in hand is an invitation to demagogue.

To his credit Kucinich is less hypocritical than a lot of 'em.

A neocon calling for impeachment OR the guys who've cried about the cost, human and financial, of war for the years before 2008 can just (sorry for the lack of a better slur) blow me.

For myself personally I was wishy washy about Iraq, didn't like the nation building but figure it was about petrodollars V petroeuros anyway. So I'm better with that one than the rathole in Afghanistan. Of which the charges of torture dead civilians troops etc etc have been surprisingly muted.

Libya has no good ending in sight no matter what we do now.

IMO.

Except for our friend, Rich4, nobody has responded to my position that Obama = W2.

Rich focused on the economy - that cyclical thing that both boosts and kills Presidents - and not on the military side of things, including Gitmo and the Military Tribunals.

I know a little bit about Rich's background and he always spoke eloquently about the character of our Armed Forces - until W2 came into power.

The bottom line is Obama is about as good as the Lefties will ever get and many of them are still unhappy or, more aptly, indifferent.
