ok, i know it's ghoulie but are we really going to let him get away with using some euro girl's name as his username? creeping into weird territory.

that'd be like PoG using a name like justinbeiber.

"With the first pick in the draft the fucking Cleveland Browns select Tim Manzel!"

I just don't get this franchise.

Time will tell, Stan, but I like the pick and LOVE the way Farmer and Co. worked the draft.

I might sound greedy and wished for Watkins AND Manziel but, as you know, Defensive folks just love CBs.

They will get the WR and others in the next couple of days.

I might regret things in a few years but, right now, I am extremely happy with last night. I'd be giddy with Watkins but will settle for extremely happy right now.

farmer and cleveland owned that shit last night.

all people yesterday could talk about is JF. now that he was picked by the browns................well not so much.

man i'd love to grab mike greenburg or skip bayless by the neck and just show them what life is really about. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5,.................

"it puts the fucking lotion in the basket!"

Stanley,

because we are dealing in the trade of human trafficking here, nobody really knows how all of this will play out. I have the same feelings as you on this. However this feels more like the Brady Quinn draft to me. The kid might turn out to be great, but I will go out on a limb here and say that this draft leaves the Browns without any progress at all, and another 4 - 12 season is on the Horizon.

Watkins was the pick for me. I would have stood pat with Hoyer.

The best way to protect a QB is not with an offensive line. It is with offensive weapons that continually confound, stress, stretch and wear down an opposing defense. Perhaps will pick up a diamond in the rough WR in the next pick or two, but our offensive weapons are still just one............ Gordon.

Oh yeah, I forgot, Bess, too. I like Bess.

Bess is gone.

I've never liked JF and have doubts about if he can play in the NFL and in the Cleveland winter. I had the same aspirations for this draft. Get a stud WR so Hoyer can have more weapons and take one of the QBs in the later rounds. I didn't think any of the QBs were that great this year but there are a ton of decent QBs.

If you think the Browns are fine with Hoyer, well they still have him, and he's still the starter. The Manziel pick is a high risk/reward, and I'm glad they got him at 22 instead of 4. We'll get to see him some during the pre-season, but he's going to be sitting at Pittsburg on opening day.

The Browns will now have a top 5 defense. They will eclipse last season's interceptions and get more sacks thanks to the Gilbert addition. The 4-3 front of our hybrid defense now has ZERO holes in it.

We have two first round picks next year. As long as we pick up a WR and Guard somewhere in the second, third, and fourth rounds, I'm going to be very happy with this draft.

And Bess is long gone.

c'mon man.

lift your chin off the floor and get with it. the browns are 10 fold better than what they were yesterday. no matter if you like a player or not, that's the bottom line.

doom and gloom only gets you closer to the grave bro.

perk up! let's have a drinky winky. or a smoky wokey.

Yes Ghoolie the Browns have a pick today with the 35th pick in which they could possibly pickup a WR that may be better than Watkins. There is no guarantee that a highly picked WR will turn out great at all. Can you say Braylon Edwards? Mike Williams? Charles Rogers? etc.

We/ve got a #1 WR in Gordon. We need a #2. Anyone picked in this round would accept the #2 designation.

Exactly. I heard a stat the 64% of 1st round WR actually make it in the NFL (play for more than 3 years, not 100% sure on criteria). Chris Carter said it yesterday.

As far as the question of only being concerned about piling talent up on the offensive side of the ball....recall that the most prolific offense in the history of the league played in last years Super Bowl.

Result? They lost 43-8 to a killer defense. Getting Gilbert is us trying to emulate the Seahawks defense.

We won't know for a couple of years if this worked out- and I think everyone on the board knows I was totally against the Manziel pick. I hope he proves me wrong.

I would have loved Watkins on the Browns- but the Bills paid an extremely high price to get him.

No complaints picking up the top CB in the draft though.

Unless they didn't have them rated as high as all of the know-it-all gurus. Maybe on their board they weren't rated much higher than someone they're targeting in round 4? I don't know, and neither do you. Just because the talking heads say they are the top rated players doesn't make it so.
