I have been to Memphis once in my life. There was a layover in a bus trip Akron to Dallas Texas. I thought it would be fun and in a way it was pretending I was Jack Kerouac on the road. I was stuck in Memphis for a couple hours and I think you can guess what part of town a bus station might be located within.I walked around the neighborhood and went to a soul food restaurant where the staff (of course they were mostly middle aged and older women) treated me like I was a long lost family member. I have had similar experiences in my life which is why situations like these attacks really disappoint and anger me. One-sided racism (or "reverse racism" as I've heard it called before) is running rampant in our country. You'd think the fact that the "majority" voted for a black guy to be president would has sent a message that the "majority" does not "pick on" people because of their color.
