WR Jeremy Maclin 29 cut in KC..High dollar guy but not a Dwayne Bowe talent either..Odd Andy Reid would cut him having Maclin also in Philly. A better #3 WR than we have now?

I don't see how it could hurt other than to squash the egos of the current wr corp.

No.. Just No.. we have a bunch of Maclins on the team already.. Analytics says no to paying him 10.5 mill at 29 years old

first off he won't command $10.5MM anywhere. Maclin was injured last year. He would likely be very productive for us barring another groin injury.

Kinda like Maclin... only missed 6 starts in the last 4 seasons... but at 29? Not feeling a long term add in him...

are Maclin's can't find a way to get open yet,Jeremy has..Britt replaces the younger Pryor? still blows my mind,Maclin's not worth Pryor money right now

Whose ego are we protecting?.......we only have 2 viable receivers(Britt-Coleman)....all the rest are late rounders and udfa's.....

Is the suggestion that we should pass on getting developed talent because it may prevent undeveloped speculative talent from doing well?

more retreads.

building from ground up from ground down.

cheap? hungry? ok. but as someone else he doesn't scare anyone. might instill confidence in our young D backfield though as they run circles around him.

Nah I was just speculating that the FO would be concerned with sending the message to the current squad that they suck.

CBS ranks all 32 in terms of a landing spot making sense. Guess who #1 is.

I could envision his agent asking him Browns or Ravens? You make the call Jeremy.

Ha!....well, they sort of do.....and all of them have been cut or spent their NFL time on the bench....soooo, message already delivered....

Our entire staff of 9(not counting Britt) has less than 1000 career yards.......thats career yards.....with 12 years combined experience....

IE.....Ill allow that they are all young.....but none have ever cracked anyones line up or performed at an NFL level.....(yet)

per spottrac, you get what we pay for (Haden...we need you man)..We rank 26th at WR..The FO analytical hope is their is over 400 WR's on rosters. Most carrying 10-15(us 11). A Huge $ drop after Gordon...Britt ranks 32@5.6M..Coleman ranks 57@2.6M..Gordon just over a million than ka-boom Louis 681K..We rank 30th in SS payroll..24th at FS..but have no fear,, 312 CB's are out there. along with over 150 LB'ers

Smh...

When fans gonna start accepting that players can get better after rookie year.

This shit is tiresome...

Payton, Louis, Higgins didn't get many snaps last year, but we know they suck cause they didn't light he league on fire. My God that opinion is so myopic.

Who says they cant get better?.....they better get better or the Browns better find some better receivers.....

Louis played plenty, while Higgins and Payton couldnt get on the field with a team that was desperate for WR's.......

As Ive said a thousand(10 thousand?) times.....not condemning them, not calling them busts, not saying they wont get better.....just saying that SO FAR, no one has impressed......why is this concept so hard to digest????

Myopic?....you must love that word....how platitudinous....

I'm guessing we're not on his radar, even in the slightest..... Maybe if the music stops and no chairs are left in August, but I bet he'll be elsewhere long before that.

So is Candyass Coleman.

No matter, you can sign Maclin, T.O., Moss or any other big name WR yet the fact still remains the Browns still don't have anyone worth a shit to throw to them so they can make some plays.

It sure would help develop our young QBs if they had his kind of experience to throw to. They might not be "scary" but Britt and Maclin bring a lot of NFL game experience with them to help the young WR room as well. At 29, he still has 4-5 more good years possibly.

I'd be calling his agent. What we have now at WR is pathetic.
