THE BROWNS BOARD

For all you Trumpites Smoking the Fairy Dust....

Here's a serious dose of reality. And I don't want to hear it's just another bunch of BS by the establishment Republicans who don't like Donald. He's like the Captain of the Titanic- "full speed ahead, icebergs? what icebergs?"

Think I mentioned it before- and the latest polling confirm it- he's getting smoked by Hillary in the college educated segment.

"If they can’t get Mr. Trump to change his act by Labor Day, the GOP will have no choice but to write off the nominee as hopeless and focus on salvaging the Senate and House and other down-ballot races," it said."

If he's getting 'smoked' by the college educated segment, shows how fucking stupid they are.

Well, DH, ever bother reading the Wall Street Journal? They're about the most conservative outfit going. Stupid? They (and the conservative Republican college grads) are smart enough to see Trump for what he is- and he's scaring them badly. I could say for starters they don't want a loose cannon with his hands on the nuke codes. Or a guy proposing a financially impossible task- building that wall. Or proposing cutting taxes will balance the budget- that's never worked before- and it sure as hell won't work now. If you want to stick your head in the sand, be my guest. I'm old enough to remember Bob Dylan's "you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind's blowing." Goldwater got destroyed in 1964- for almost the same reasons Trump will in 2016. The media is being unfair? Man up, and quit bitching about it like a little kid. If the election were next week, my bet is Hillary would have 400+ electoral votes.

PS BB- if you think electing Trump is magically going to stop rioting- not happening. UNLESS that is- you want a police state. Seems to be what Trump is advocating.

I will take you up on any bet like that

But WSJ is not particularly conservative, their editorial board may suck the dick of the likes of George W Bush - but it's establishment.

And what Republican doesn't propose tax cuts? George W decided to implement large tax cuts while simultaneously increasing the budget.

President Obama raised taxes and ballooned the debt just as bad as Bush did.

The establishment doesn't have the answers, we're too far gone to tax our way out of debt. We waste a fortune everywhere.

John "I didn't even balance the budget but I say I did" Kasich would be nothing more than a continuation of George W and Obama.

We're done in 50 years pretty much regardless. We're going to default on our debt, the markets are going to crash - we're going to be in utter chaos.

Trump could be the syringe we need to jump start a turn around, that's not a possibility with anybody else - it never was.

Forget the "global economy" nonsense where you're just as strong as your weakest link, biggest influence in this country doesn't give 3 fucks about the average person because regardless - they'll be fine.

War mongering Republicans and Democrats beholden to nobody except the puppet masters - something has got to change and Trump is the only chance we have. If he doesn't change anything - that's no different than it would have been with anybody else anyway.

I listened to the new third party candidate McMullin tonight on Fox and he was sharp. On every question he gave good detailed and specific answers. Ed wouldn't like him he is for TPP but he makes a good argument for free trade and against tariffs. I was really impressed but he threw his hat in the ring too late and will not get on the ballot on all states. His plan is to deny both Clinton and Trump the 270 electoral votes which would throw it to the House where he could win there.

Compared to both Clinton and Trump this guy stood out head and shoulders above both of them.

He impressed me but if he was really serious about this he would have entered the race months ago and it is obvious to me he is out to be a spoiler against Trump. If lightning would strike and the race ends up being close if McMullin throws one red state to Clinton (Like Utah) it could cost Trump the election.

So I am impressed with him but not voting for him.

For real... 400+ today? At most it's 380-ish today...

First, I've heard him say that. All I've heard is kill Trump in Utah. Only other ballot I know he's on is Colorado and 2 states aren't nearly enough to throw this to the House.

Is he on more now?

I heard him speak on Fox last night and he is an impressive candidate. If he would have entered the race sooner and gotten on all the ballots I would have considered voting for him. He is being put up by the never Trump crowd at this late date only to play the spolier. No thanks for me and I will not vote for him.

Trump would have shredded him as he did everybody else. Goldman sachs, CIA, establishment guy - he would have won Utah because he's a mormon.

Trump must not think he is such a great debater as he ducked out of two of them in the primaries.

Trump probably would have shredded him in the republican primary but as everyone keeps saying this isn't the republican primary any longer this is the general election....what worked for Trump in the primary will not work for him in the general election.

He ducked one which was pretty justified after Fox's comments clearly showing they wouldn't be "fair and balanced"

But he did the veterans event, which was pretty successful.

The last one literally didn't matter, Trump was essentially the presumptive nominee at that point.

Heard him as well... found his CIA-experienced-based "I know how to defeat ISIS" off-putting, but otherwise not bad. He was conceding the social issues are settled although being personally opposed to everyplace they have settled.

Had he gotten in sooner he have gotten oppo'd and odds are something would have likely come out to knock the shine off of him.

May have been the last strategic thing he did. He was ahead and had nothing to gain by attending. Helped himself more by showing he was an unconventional, man's man by not going.

The RNC shouldn't have let him get away with it and told him going to debates as a republican candidate is not optional it is a requirement.

Like preseason football...

Worse is when a team has locked up the playoffs and has nothing to play for and they sit out their starters while others teams on the bubble to make the playoffs needed them to win...........the Colts come to mind when they sat out their starters in the last game of the season and it cost the Browns making the playoffs that year.

Except for it's only that we are Browns fans that we would be upset that a team gives itself the best chance in the playoffs.

If we had done it and fucked the Steelers out of a playoff berth we'd have thought it was brilliant.

I didn't see resting the starters for the Colts ever being that successful. Not a big Patriot fan but I will tip my hat to them when they had a chance to play for the perfect season they took it and played a meaningless last game of the season like a playoff game unlike the Colts who threw away their chance for a perfect season and sat out their starters which didn't help them in the play offs anyway.

Not sure they had a choice though... he was ahead... he was clearly "the star" of the GOP campaign... IIRC at the time he gave them their best chance in the general.

If they take "a stand" and he doesn't budge, then what does the GOP do other than stand there emasculated?

Admittedly Trump put the RNC in a position of being between a rock and a hard place no doubt. They were always scared to death he was going to run as a third party candidate (which he threatened to do often).
