The Gipper
The standings are the only power ranking that matter. Cavs loss last night puts them down a bit.

Power ratings are just another guide to measure one team against another plus it's used in setting point spreads in team sports. And they move slowly not on a night by night basis. Think barometer not thermometer, both useful in their own intended ways.

mjp28
Not useful if you don't bet. Not really. Or FL games, pick 'ems or just general posting about teams even if they are not playing each other head-to-head or you're just a hoops junkie. Same goes for NFL, NCAA and other sports. Same goes for NFL, NCAA and other sports. For NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL...it is the standings that mean everything. Perhaps though for some NCAA tournaments...power rankings are important. The CFP and the NCAA basketball tournament are all about "power rankings" in a sense. Fair to say?
