One thing I like about Goff outside of the skills is how he brought California from being a laughing stock to respectable in three years. Going from 1-11 to 8-5 sure counts on a lot of other people, but also shows a lot about what he brought to the team. That directly translates into what we need in Cleveland.

Let's Go.

Bbedward for Prezo

Wentz might have the size, but in terms of most important traits that translate to the NFL as a qb, Goff is far and away the better prospect

This seems to be as much the Trevor Davis highlight as anything.

Although, maybe Goff isn't so bad. Here he reminds me of a taller Drew Brees.

And I call a taller Drew Brees "Tom Brady".

Zombo

--Ya, I went there ... the coffee is horrible in Camp Wentz.

can someone cue up a johhny football highlight reel, or a Brandon weedon reel...or.....or....well you get it. This thread is dumb.

Get thee to Camp Bosa!

I'm just here for the smores and pocket presence.

I'm trying to remember the last prospect that was so silky smooth in the pocket.

Interesting perspective...

None of these prospects are sure things/cant miss. Like most first round qbs who aren't those once every 5-10 years qb, they may end up very good...ok...or pretty bad. We'll just have to wait and see. What we don't need to wait and see to know, however, is that many of the people in these threads proclaiming how much a sure thing is some of these guys will or won't be don't know what the heck they are talking about.

Nobody, even people who make tons of money to do this crap, have any idea whether the #6 prospect at this point will be better than the #14 prospect.....to act as if one is definately better than other in the nfl is absurd.

So nobody knows, but you know there are no...

... but you do know that there has been a QB every 5-10 years.

Got it...

And FWIW, I share your opinion of your opinion...

So should we wait around 20 years or so until we have the #1 overall pick, and another Elway or Luck falls into our lap? Hell, even Peyton wasn't a consensus #1.

We only need to guess right once, for a change.

I'll admit I haven't watched much of Goff at Cal but from what I've read and the type of draft (no sure fire QB's) we have, he just reminds me/sounds like Matt Ryan. He's not necessarily the most gifted guy athletically, but he's smart and knows how to make the right reads.

It might not be much but I don't think I've seen the comp on here yet so I figured I'd throw it out there.

Good eye... that's the comp NFL.com came up with as well...

Kid seems like a class act, but is he clutch?

does he have the "clutch gene"?

Stand pat at #2 and take bosa or goff, one will be available. lets get someone to build around who isn't a midget alcoholic.

Good question cause he has never lead his team to a big win in 3 years.

Just don't see that happening...

The Boys only have 5 picks this year so I don't think they can afford spending their 2016 1st and 2nd (and that likely does not get the job done) to draft a player of the future. To do so would basically say they think they are close enough to stand pat and have Romo's healthy return put them over the top.

And their 2017 #1 is not going to be worth more than a low 2016 #2 in present value.

Whats absurd is coming into a decent discussion and calling out a bunch of people for something they arent even doing....

Arent you the guy who's always saying "I told ya so" whenever you guess right?....yeah, you are......whatta dick
