Please don't even suggest "he who must not be named". Barf. :) From the link:

"The Patriots have made it known they will not trade Garoppolo, with owner Robert Kraft pointing out Monday that he can find only one quarterback who had a standout season at 40 or older."

Don't quote me on the name but IIRC the only QB to pass for more than 1,000 yards on the high side of 40 was Warren Moon. You would be wise Mr. Kraft to hang on to "he who must not be named".

:P Guess Sashi won't be breaking that FO tie...None of the 40 or older's ever told their hot model wife "Retire? Hey babe am having far to much fun for that" Brady will still "wreck this league" 2 years..good luck taking the kid out of this guy

Is that the same Robert Kraft who said last week he believes Tom will play another 7 or 8 years?

Caveat, will not trade #1 for a QB.

Didn't say they would not trade #1 for anything.

So...interesting survey question:

If everyone of them were available for a trade what QBs in the NFL WOULD you trade the #1 overall pick for?

I would not use it to trade for any of the 35+ crowd like Brady even, Brees, Palmer, BR, Eli, Rivers.

At best it would only be 3-4. You say who.

Luck? Wilson?

it's a good question Gip. Your dropping any QB into our division with our team with very slim weaponry. Wilson may not last 3 division games in our division. Newton has the RB mantality I would love to see run over guys in our division. but Luck has never had many weapons & a much better tude to work with young mistakes..I stick Ryan-Rogers-Luck..Thanks for my Fantasy football fix (BTW,I had Ryan & Rogers in Flyin J fantasy league & finished like 4th )

Well, I guess HUE knows who he wants to draft.

...and that 'not trading' thing is always subject to change based on the offer.

True... everything has a price... but what make you think the messenger has a big say in the draft?

That's the 64k$ question.

He is 'supposed' to have a say....but I don't know how much The Harvard Committee cares.

It would take at least what Washington gave up for Griffin, if not more for the Browns to be interested- MHO We start at three firsts and a second.

Has the accordion king named the player he wants at one yet?

I know which QB he wants, but not sure if he's said @ #1 yet.

If any QB could play until he's 46, it's Brady

Until he gets hurt. That might change his mind. My bet is he won't make it that far, 2017 might well be his last season. Looked it up, Geroge Blanda played until he was 48, but his last 9 seasons he was essentially just a kicker.

My guess?

Hue's is a co-equal voice with the other 2 or 3 Departments... the number depending on if you split Scouting into college and Pro.

I think he, representing his and his staff's views, has to join the consensus... at minimum endorse any decision to target a prospect.

Except when old George trotted into a game to break our hearts... among other opponents' fans.

Not at #1??? Does he not understand the desperate importance of the position? please let me know if he does... a simple quote click for posterity will do.

Lynch was just a rookie, and IMO the Broncos did the right thing with him, basically letting him sit. For all we know he could now come out great guns. It remains to be seen.

And when he did play, he looked worse that Johnny Manzidiot.

He showed some flashes, but with our (Denver's) o-line and our running game, not much could be expected.

Would you trade for him, if so what would you give up? If for some reason the Broncos go the Romo route and are looking to deal him.

I would offer a bag of used footballs and maybe throw in a JUGS machine for him.
