THE BROWNS BOARD

Does this Colts team remind anyone of the 80's Broncos teams.

Just a 1st pick gunslinger with solid receivers (T.Y. is nice), shit running game, and a who the fuck are you defense. Luck might lose some SB's before he wins one like Elway. In the end, this guy is raising some Lombardi's. At least one, right Marino.

not really sure they were a "who the fuck are you defense"...I was a kid then but I remember names like Mecklenberg and Atwater on that defense. The Colts defense also has some really good players. A healthy Mathis is a potential 20 sack guy. I just read Walden and Werner are among the best run stopping OLB'ers in the NFL. And don't they have one of the best safeties in the NFL? Can't remember his name right now. But that defense is a couple pieces from being elite. Redding's their only really good lineman though, they need help there.

Ok- i don't give a shit what you say about Cowboys, Oilers (Titans) or Texans. But leave my Broncos alone! :P

yeah, i read in a thread about a month ago that you were a bronco fan. i thought to myself then that i hope this never comes up cuz i'll have to give you grief. i figure you already got enough with the manziel thing that i'll leave you alone on this.

not for nothing that was a great team but they were also the only reason (well, not the only reason......a couple of bad mistakes on the browns part didn't help) the browns didn't go to 2 super bowls in the 80s.

so i still say F 'em. :D

That denver defense was AWFUL in the 3 SB's back then

They gave up 39, 42, and 55 points

No.. Elway was hands down a better QB.. The WR's outside of Reggie Wayne were better.. Jackson,Nattiel and Johnson were dynamite pass catchers...they had a good scat back in Sammy Winder. They're defense was stout with Rulon Jones and Karl Mecklenberg. Mecklenberg was better than any linebacker they have. Incidently.. Mike Shanahan was they're OC and Joe Collier was a pretty good DC. There was talk that Dan Reeves then Denver's HC held Elway back.. Thus promoting Shanahan to HC , Who eventually won 2 SB's with Elway at the helm.. God.. I still hate those son's of bitches!...

Oh yeah. Luck really looks unstoppable, The only ring he is going to get is a ring around is mouth from sucking so bad.

Apparently they should have used Andrew Luck on defense so that he could tackle a guy the Steelers cut, but who gained like 170 yards and scored 3 TDs against them.

I would take Andrew Luck and the Browns defense....and see you deep in the playoffs.

Oh Boy did they lay eggs.....but, prior to the actual SB's they were actually a very good defense....

In '89, the year they gave up 55 in the SB, they were the #1 scoring D in the entire league....only allowed 14 a game.....then they went to the SB and gave up 4 games worth in one game...

happy memory for sure....:)

Today... under-inflated-ball-gate.

Tomorrow... Blount collusion.

i don't ever remember the browns teams in those games losing by 35 points.

Unfortunately, I do...or at least close to that:

And there is this....though I don't remember it from being 5 years old:

BUT

peen was talking about the 80s browns team with kosar that lost 2 straight to the elway broncos in 'the drive' and 'the drive 2'. those were both extremely close games which the browns shoulda coulda won.
