Someone answer me this......

In the last week we have signed 2 wide receivers.......today we signed WR Josh Boyce and last week we signed WR Ed Eagan...

Why?...if we are sooo loaded at WR and have to cut good ones, why are we still signing them?......

And, since we are soooooooo weak in soooo many areas, why is the front office so bent on more WR's?????

Try signing some O linemen instead....or a LB or something......

sheesh....

Truly a head scratcher, although I do not expect that we keep any of our previous WR from the lolli pop guild.

Right....Im not sure whats up.....

Last couple years we have carried 6 WR's......the BROWNS(and Ourlads) depth chart currently shows our top 6 as Cooper, Pryor, Hawkins, Gabriel, Moore and Louis.....if we carry seven(max)....the last one comes out of....

Gordon(ding ding ding), Payton, Higgins, Eagan, Boyce & Parks....

Now, my questions are....have we even seen Louis yet?.....why was Ranell Hall starting ahead of all the rooks?....Gabe is getting early reps AND return opportunities, so he's looking good too......

My opinion?.....those other rookies aint as great as many have speculated....Higgins & Payton are playing with the 3's, even though our 2 main guys(Cooper & Gordon) arent playing.....YES.....that has significance.....

So.....my guess is that folks "think" we should cut Moore and or Gabe and give their spots to our superstar 5th rounders Higgins & Payton.....and it might happen......but early indications from the staff indicate otherwise......

unless.....a big UNLESS.....there's a trade coming.......(and please, for the love of god and my health, let it be an OLB)

TOUCHDOWN MAKER. GO GET HIM!

Is the season 16 games or 12?

We'll deal with our own problem children, but signing someone else's?

No thanks.

One possible explanation is that we are looking for a kick and punt returner. So far, after the loss of Travis Williams, I see no one that looks like a KR/PR. Could one of the rookie WRs step up?

Coopman.

Thats him.....coopman....cooper.....coleman....dunno

Once he does something, Ill probably remember his name...until then, Coopman will do...

We definitely have a good KR in Gilbert, should they decide to use(or even keep) him......

PR?.....dunno.....that coopman guy is rumored to be the one......maybe he'll play this week...

Mosterts 4 fumbles are too many.....reminds me of Benji in 2014.....

Well game 3 preseason is usually the crucial one for finalizing spots so we shall see what we shall see. Just don't know how this FO will handle it yet. They are the biggest unknown quantity in the equation.

Head Scratcher Mud. Let Tulluck go to Philly too . Falcons D could not sack me or you last season either. So Hue maybe showing the vanilla with some sprinkles with showing some deep weapons to open the dink & dunk underneath when the real bullets start to fly at RG3. Think we maybe still in market for slot depth after Coleman. Hawk & Gabe maybe on the ropes or our trade bait with Hollywood, Devalve & Payton on board? or Al Saunders needs another Vet at slot, meaning Gabe & Hawk our both gone?

One game to go, but no need to overthink this...

  • Entire front 7 on field at end of Week 2 can go... including A. Bryant and Mingo as well as Anunoby, Adeyemi, Neill, C. Johnson... missin one.
  • Offense: OL - K. Johnson, Tucker, Bailey (move Drango inside); TE - Holtz, Reeves; RB - Winston, FB - M. Johnson;

Someone else can do the DBs and WRs...

Payton and Gabe I don't think make it. Kindred might make it as a ST player and a 3rd safety for the nickel roll. Not sure what we do with Kwaun.

Well....Gabe leads the team in catches, so if they cut him?......its another bad decision.....

In FACT....Gabe had more catches for more yards LAST NIGHT.....than ALL 4 rookies have for the whole preseason...

But, yeah....he should be cut...

Second team and all, but still Gabe was clearly running routes well, getting to spots on time and being open when he got there. McC is a timing guy, but RG needs the same... especially if he's the one-read-wonder I think he is.

Add that Gabe looked a little dangerous (and fearless) in his punt/kick return opportunities...

Personally, I'm not feeling Hawk again this year.

Right...last year it was painful "waiting" for the QB(McC) to get the ball out...forget the stat, but we were slowww compared to the rest of the league.....and it was blamed on our receiver corps inability to get open.....soooo the QB's were forced to hold the ball

Now....RGIII looks slow.....and, supposedly, he has a large group of WR studs.....but, to my eye, McCown looked sharper in terms of identifying the open man and getting it out......

And....YES.....Gabe looked good because he was playing with 2nds......YET, when I critique Kessler, Higgins, Payton, Schobert and all.....Im told they dont look good "because they are playing with 2nds?"

Cant have it both ways.....

Here's the cuts to date. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000691151/article/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker-teams-trimming-to-75-players

No real surprises, though I did think They'd keep Coons to handle the kicking.

Hey, with these I guess we should be looking to see if there could be someone the Browns could use. Don't be surprised if they make some moves. If not now, when the teams have to go down to 53.

Oh, and I see that Ishmaily Kitchen was waived. He was a halfway decent DL for us for some time. You never know, he could be back.

And I see the Steelers cut Jordan Zumwalt, OLB....who had been with that team for a while.

I think we are set with Mozart and Coleman, Gip.

I thought Mozart was dead. They have a piano player returning kicks now? That's thinking outside of the box. Hey, instead of wiener dog races, they can hire the Cleveland Orchestra for the Halftime show, all about trying something "different". They can play Chopin's Funeral March after every loss. Er- I suppose every game this year. .
