Wildcards: Chiefs and Broncos, both 7-3 In the hunt: Dolphins 6-4 NFCE: Cowboys 9-1 with #1 seed NFCN: Lions 6-4 (lead over Vikings due to defeat of them earlier) NFCS: Falcons 6-4 NFCW: Seahawks 7-2-1 Wildcards: Giants 7-3, Redskins 6-3-1 In the hunt: Viking 6-4 The "race" for the #1 overall draft pick: Browns 0-11 49ers 1-9 Bears 2-8 Jags 2-8 Jets 3-
The Gipper
The upcoming schedule: Thursday is a big day: Lions and Vikings play in Detroit They are tied atop NFCN (Lions lead with win over Vikes earlier). Winner takes control of the division (a Lions win would give them essentially a 2 game advantage) Redskins at Cowboys. Supposedly an historic rivalry. Both currently in playoffs. Both playing well. Steelers at Colts. Both teams vying for Div. titles. Steelers tied with Ravens, Colts a game back of Texans. But...Steelers are going to get dumbass lucky again: Andrew Luck will be out with a concussion. Sunday: Bengals at Baltimore. With a loss Bengals will basically cede the AFCN to be a 2 team race between Pitt/Balt. Kansas City at Denver. Loser falls two games back of Oakland...if Raiders beat Carolina. Plus loser could lose playoff spot to surging Dolphins who play the hapless 49ers.
The Gipper
While the Browns are in the race for the #1 overall pick, the Eagles right now would be drafting anywhere from #14 to #19. The Eagles are currently 5-5. There are 13 teams (including the Browns) with worse records than them. There are also 5 other teams that are also 5-5. They have a fairly tough schedule ahead. But they have 4 of 6 games at home Where they play much better. They are 4-0 at home, but only 1-5 on the road. Both of their road games are vs. the AFCN: Cinci and Baltimore. They are 2-0 so far vs. the AFCN. Home games vs. their tougher NFCE competition: Redskins, Giants, Cowboys. Plus they play the desparate Packers at home this week. Perhaps the best we can hope for is that they go 2-4 here down the stretch, giving them a 7-9 record..and perhaps that could push them into the Top 10 draft positions. hoorta
In the "race" to the #1 pick- if Cutler can't go, that leaves Da Bears quarterbacking to Matt Barkley. The 49ers play them December 4th. Hope hope they can win. I don't see another game on San Fran's schedule that they have a chance of winning. Again, it will be beneficial to the Browns if the Falcons and Seahawks win out, toughens the Niners strength of schedule. .

I don't care if the Steelers won 2 games in a row. They beat the Browns....and their win vs. the Colts was like playing the Browns because without Andrew Luck the Colts about as good as the Browns. Though....I do think the Steelers likely win the division. The Bengals have gone back into Bungle Mode. And the Ravens just aren't any better than the Steelers, not really. They probably win with like a 9-7 record.
