domcucch1994
You know what will though? A fucking team with at least 4 to 5 veterans on both sides of the ball, and special teams, WHO HAVE BEEN FULL TIME STARTERS BEFORE! BREAK OUT YOUR CHECKBOOK HASLUMP AND SPEND $$$$$ YOU DOUCHETURD! Well special teams we don't need that many cause this is the Browns we're talking about... WE NEED OLINEMAN HASDICK! Back in '07 we had JT at LT, Steinbach at LG, Fraley at C, and he was a decent center, Mack was waay better, Ryan Tucker/Lennie Friedman at RG, and Kevin Shaffer at RT, our oline was the shit that season! only 14 sacks allowed, the team ran for 1895 yards, and we were ranked 8th in terms of yards. WE NEED A FUCKING COMPETENT OLINE JIMMY HASDUMB, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

domcucch1994
Haden, Williams, Davis, Collins/Bryant Thomas, Greco, Bitonio, Pasztor, McCown Seems to be working. McClown is garbage, Greco should be a backup, Bitonio has been on IR, Williams is washed-up, Pasztor has been inconsistent, Collins is good, Haden has been up and down, the rest of them have been inconsistent. The rookies on the DL and the mess in our secondary are the major weakspots on defense. So what is your point? That veterans don't make a difference? Well they do when you have QUALITY players on Defense, Williams would not be a starter on other teams, Pasztor was drafted at #4, but was released by the Vikings before that season and has been shifted around multiple teams since. He has been garbage. Terrelle Pryor is the only jourmeyman on our team that has made an impact. Drango has been bad, but he was also thrusted into that spot because Bitonio is hurt. Drango is NOT a quality starter, Greco has been overwhelmed at RG. We need to spend to this make this team win again.. You know it and I know it! Unsympathetic
Pazstor has absolutely not been inconsistent or garbage. Since week 4, he has been the #1 RT in the league per PFF, and the #9 tackle in the entire league. He deserves to be resigned for 5-7M/yr. Incidentally, ratings from PFF on yesterday's game: Drango #3-rated O player at 76.7 UDFA Boddy-Calhoun #2-rated D player at 80.4 FA NT Paea #4-rated D player at 73.

gftChris
McClown is garbage, Sure, but he's been a FULL TIME STARTER Greco should be a backup, Not really. He's decent. Bitonio has been on IR, Yep, and we absolutely should have counted on a week 6 injury happening when constructing the roster Williams is washed-up, Sure, but he's been a FULL TIME STARTER Pasztor has been inconsistent, Nope? Collins is good, Yes Haden has been up and down, Sure, but he's been a FULL TIME STARTER the rest of them have been inconsistent. At best, but they've been FULL TIME STARTERS The rookies on the DL and the mess in our secondary are the major weakspots on defense. Shelton is arguably our best player on D. Bryant should have been next to him but was out for the season in about June. Shitty luck. So what is your point? That veterans don't make a difference? Well they do when you have QUALITY players on Defense, Williams would not be a starter on other teams, My point is that we have 4 or 5 veterans on both sides of the ball that have been FULL TIME STARTERS for multiple seasons. It hasn't really helped. You're not offering a lot of insight besides "get better players for the team!" which anybody with access to a keyboard and caps lock can shout. Pasztor was drafted at #4, but was released by the Vikings before that season and has been shifted around multiple teams since. He has been garbage. He was drafted #4...in Canada. He then signed with the Vikings, the Jags and ultimately us, and has been very solid both last year at guard, and most of this year at tackle. He's also only 25, so could be a fixture of this team for a while. Terrelle Pryor is the only jourmeyman on our team that has made an impact. He's been good, but disappears in games. More consistency will come with game time. Drango has been bad, but he was also thrusted into that spot because Bitonio is hurt. Drango is NOT a quality starter, He's a sixth round rookie and is our 4th guard. He hasn't played much, Alvin Bailey has played with Bitonio's injury. Greco has been overwhelmed at RG. Occasionally. He's decent. Can't be all-pro everywhere and there are bigger issues on the team. We need to spend to this make this team win again.. You know it and I know it! We need to keep our better players, make good signings, and not throw money at the Paul Krugers and Donte Whitners of the world. Nobody will argue with that. Clevfan4life
There we go with PFF again. When are u rat dicks gonna figure out PFF is utter monsense? Shiite wankers all of them.Rubbish shiite wanking pikers. Im digging deep here in my english bag maybe chris can help me out some? Bollocks to pff and whatnot. We just gave up 8 sacks to one of the worst pass rushes in the nfl. And they werent all exotic lebeau era blitzes, just greenlighted frontbline pass rushes. Pff can lick my whole rectal channel
gftChris
Coaches film isn't available for this game yet but on the fly most of those sacks came from up the Center or from the Cody Concussler and Josh McClown (channeling my inner cal for nicknames) holding on to the ball waaaaay too long. Dead Boddy finally had a decent game, but the o-line? Lol. 8 sacks 10+ hits, Kessler gets knocked out of the game. Bell runs for 140 yards. Clevfan4life
The diff between our o line and other bad o lines is that they at least tend to disrupt the momentum of pass rushers. The hits that our qb's take almost every game multiple times a game, i mean it just isnt pro

flyingfooldoug
We need quality over quantity. To get the quality players though you need to have a damn good talent evaluator. And that seems to be a much bigger problem.
Tour2ma
Yeah... PFF sucks at evaluating individual players based on dedicated observation for every snap using an all-22.. and then reviewing grades twice for continuity. Casual fans watching a broadcast with a beer do much better... McClown is garbage, Sure, but he's been a FULL TIME STARTER How dare you use the OP's own, stated criteria against him! gftChris
I've been through almost every offensive play from the wekeend and I'm yet to find one where Thomas or Pasztor was at fault. A few, more than I expected, where Greco got beat, the usual Cam efforts, and Bailey is a backup so lower expectations. This isn't the first time either. So I'm less and less convinced a right tackle is a primary need for us, certainly compared to interior linemen.
TexasAg1969
I agree Chris. We need a better turnstile in the middle. But who is out there? http://walterfootball.com/draft2017C.php We get to see two of these in action this weekend (OSU vs Mich) and LSU's T-day evening. I didn't look at it that closely, but I do know that the previous week Drango was playing a lot of Ole protection (in other words..."here, I will step aside and let you sack our QB". Did he get replaced by Bailey?
