In doing research of these college rivalries, I came across one that I thought had the best name: The 100 Miles of Hate. Which two schools are part of this rivalry? 2. In the FBS which 2 schools have played the most times in their rivalry? 3. What is the oldest FCS rivalry? 4. What is the oldest Div. III rivalry? 5. What rivalry did ESPN declare "the greatest North American sport rivalry"? 6. Here are the names of a few other college football rivalry games. Give the schools that participate in these: A. Bedlam B. The Egg Bowl C. The Iron Bowl D. The Red River showdown E. The Backyard Brawl 7. A. What NFL rivalry has been played the most? B. What is the record in that rivalry (margin of error) 8. A. What is the Browns biggest margin of victory over the Steelers? B. What is the Steelers biggest margin of victory over the Browns? 9. What AFC rivalries are the oldest? There are two teams that the Steelers have played the same number of times from the NFC. Eagles and Redskins. 11. But which current NFC team HAVE the Browns played the most times in their history? Not sure if a move DQs a franchise, but if not, then I think it's the Cardinals. You get the check here as well.....moves do not disqualify. This is a very obscure rivalry.....but it does have a great name: Middle Tenn.St. vs. Western KY, which schools are 100 miles apart. 2. In the FBS which 2 schools have played the most times in their rivalry? Minnesota and Wisconsin 124 times. 3. What is the oldest FCS rivalry? It is Princeton vs. Yale......not Princeton vs. Harvard. 4. What is the oldest Div. III rivalry? It is Amherst vs. Williams. 5. (exclude teams that came to AFC from NFL: Browns/Steelers/Colts) The Browns/Steelers is the oldest now..... and the Steeler or Browns vs. Colts (who joined NFL in 1953) second but only because those teams went over to the AFC after the merger. It is the round robin of the original 8 AFL franchise. It is the entire AFC West plus Pats v. Bills v. Jets plus add the Oilers/Tits into the mix. 10. What "cross conference rivalry" i.e. current AFC team vs. current NFC team has been played the most in history? (Hint: the Browns are not part of this) It is the Steelers vs. either the Eagles or the Redskins.....they have played both those teams 77 times each. Steelers joined the NFL in 1933. They have played the Giants just a few times less, like 75 times. 11. But which current NFC team HAVE the Browns played the most times in their history? The Cardinals whom they have played 50 times. The Giants I believe are second on the list. 12. Since the inception of the Big Ten Conference, What is the record between Ohio State and Michigan? As of Saturday, Ohio St leads 48-46-4. I am including the so called "forfeited" game from 2010. Yes, OSU and Mich. have played a number of times before the formation of the conference......and Mich. dominated.....as Mich was an established college football power going back into the late 1800s. Ohio St. was not. For some of that time it would have been tantamount to playing a MAC like school. Ohio State was just getting a program started after Mich had long been an elite national power. If not for the constant choke job of John Cooper, the Buckeyes would have a much larger lead in the Big Ten era, and probably be about even overall.
