koalabazooka
What is this point system you used to grade the teams? I think most people would consider the 2000s the decade of the Spurs, as they were more consistent through the era.

I think most people would consider the 2000s the decade of the Spurs, as they were more consistent through the era. I gave the League Champion in any given year 10 pts. the Finals loser 6 pts., the semifinal losers 3 pts, and anyone else that made the playoffs 1 pt. The Lakers won 4 titles during the 2000-2009 decade and lost 2 more Finals, thus giving them the advantage.

The Gipper
Wtf. I tried to follow this statement but could not What is it you are having trouble with? Why the Lakers and not the Spurs made Team of the Decade for the 2000s (years 2000-2009)? They won more championships than the Spurs in that time 4 vs. 3. Plus, they lost two more Finals. Spurs never lost a Finals during that time. And note....starting with 2010....a new decade started, and we started over.
