First GOP debate Thurs in LIVE IN CLEVELAND

Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie and John Kasich. That is the lineup for the first GOP debate.

Who are you interested in? Who do you think will thrive? Who will dive?

If Donald Trump is going to come out on top, he will need to begin to be more specific on his policies. He has already stated publicly that he will try not to go on the offensive unless provoked, which is mostly what he has done this entire race. I bet he actually begins to look and act presidential Thursday night. It's his biggest interview yet.

I want to see trump, kasich, Paul, and Dr. Ben Carson speak the most. I think Jeb bush will collapse. Chris Christie is disgusting to me. Rubio is also an interesting candidate.

Maybe the first GOP debate should open with animated flybys of landmark's from each candidates' states set to the Game of Thrones theme. Let the carnage ensue.

Stranger things than trump have happened. Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger got elected

No.

Jesse the Body Ventura, Al Franken, ex con Marion Barry, and a socialist that sat in a church listening to a "preacher" spew anti American venom for 20yrs are stranger things that have happened regarding those elected for public office.

Reagan? lol

This is why Trump is popular, he's bruatly honest and its the shit people want to hear...

Presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday that he pays as little in taxes as possible just like every other taxpayer in America.

“I fight like hell to pay as little as possible for two reasons. Number one, I’m a businessman. And that’s the way you’re supposed to do it,” Trump said in an interview with CBS’ Face the Nation. “The other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.”

Then he turned the tables on the reporter and blasts CBS on the issue they should be focused on: Hillary Clinton’s criminal email usage:

Trump has not yet released his tax returns, but said he has “no major problem” with doing it. And he said he may tie a release of his tax returns to a release of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails from her time as secretary of state.

saying that he wont pay more in taxes is exactly what we all think and know - how can anyone slam that?

Trump admittedly said he is not preparing for the debate - saying that he is not a debator...

that is probably another advantage for a guy like Trump - who thinks on his feet and wont rely on scripted BS

so yea - keeping it real.

It will at least sound natural and not robotic like the rehearsed horse shit that is normally spewed during debates.

yes its like -

who doesnt love hearing that we are gonna beat pitspuke this year?

without a winners attitude, you wont win, plain and simple...

but really - not only Trump - but a few others like Cruz, Walker, Rubio, And Fiorina

can deliver a message that isnt scripted.

If the whole thing is going to be a joke (this applies to both ends of the political turd), it should at least be a funny one. Idiocracy is on the way!

Preach.

Both parties are a joke, so at least make it entertaining and worth watching. I certainly won't be tuning in expecting to

hear candidates discuss serious ideas and policy. Nothing more than the usual platitudes---red meat to the base.

At least Trump will make it entertaining. And maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to yank some of the other candidates from

their snoozefest of talking points into some actual back and forth and exchange of ideas. And if not, he'll hopefully throw

a grenade into the room and make it interesting.

I agree with liking Trump for how has says things, and how he is campaigning. Straight talker, not pandering to billionaires (cuz he has the money), etc. But I can't agree with everything he says. I think that's where the difference in opinion comes from.

Mark Cuban on Trump:"I don't care what his actual positions are," Cuban wrote. "I don't care if he says the wrong thing. He says what's on his mind. He gives honest answers rather than prepared answers. This is more important than anything any candidate has done in years."http://www.cnbc.com/2015/07/28/

Yes indeed. Yes not bought and paid for like Scott Walker. K-sick, Christie, & Hilary.

He may fall on his face in the "debate" tonight, but he is 100% real.

My first problem with Trump is Bill Clinton apparently encouraging him to run for president a few months ago. What is up with that? Bill certainly did not want him to run as a democrat. Now Trump is not saying if he won't run as a third party if he doesn't win the GOP nomination. If he did run third party would that throw the election to Hillary? probably.

Also some of the big claims Trump is making he will not or cannot be specific how he will do it. He says he will make Mexico pay for a wall on the border. He was asked by FOX Bill O'reilly how he would make Mexico pay and he said simple and then did not answer the question even though O'reilly asked him about three times...

I like Trump exposing the mealy mouthed republican politicians but the devil will be in the details of the promises he is making.

Details didn't hamper Obama too much did they?

And look what we got. Obama not just makes promises he knowingly lies when making the promises such as he did to get Obamacare passed.

A candidate should have to explain how they will accomplish the promises they are making. Just saying because "I said so" is not enough.

Trump saying he avoids tax - though not a surprise - will further alienate about 40% fof the vote. He'd better be pretty damn on point on the rest of the topics if he wants to win and I don't think he will unite the swing voters enough.

He could win the candidacy, but if the core decide he's too loud mouthed and a liability, he has no chance..

Fwiw, if you think Obama has damaged the US reputation around the civilised world (he hasn't) then wait til trump has a go.

Dream on, Chris. Everybody tries to pay as little tax as possible.

Is England "bizarro world"...or is it just you ? B)

I wouldn't say everybody does that, in fact a lot of people pay the full amount. But plenty do, or would if they had enough money for it to make a difference.
