Gonna be tough for the TE to make the team. He averaged less than 1 catch per game in college......and they already released Barnidge. Only thing: Why has he been signed and released by 4 different teams in the last 4 years? I think it is combination. Clearly Britt dropped and alligator armed a few passes. But there were also a number thrown to him that were just not on target. Plus, honestly, on a couple of plays I saw where the DB just did a very good job of breaking up the pass. You have to share the "blame" I think on all three of these factor. Look....last year we had ONE guy under 50% and had a terrible offense......THIS year we have 3.......and one is so low....so so low... Most teams and just about every single quarterback in the league complete passes at a rate of 50% or better(heck, most are over 60%) ....so when you have a guy who only combines with the QB to complete 33%, then the #'s indicate that is a very LOW percentage play and will not be a reliable go to situation......why call plays that only succeed 33% of the time, when you KNOW you need to succeed at 60% or better......thats terrible math......
