Ben is the 6 million dollar man with steel rods still in his legs & foot (by now). looked fine to me & Landry Jones is fine, just a pussy.

My conspiracy theory is that Ben was ready to go. Just like we played cat and mouse as to who was going to start to try to confuse Tomlin they did the same thing and pulled the switcheroo.

The Dallas Cowboys are moving on from Brandon Weeden.

The team announced Tuesday that it has released the veteran quarterback, who was winless in three starts after replacing an injured Tony Romo. Weeden was benched in favor of Matt Cassel prior to Week 7.

In four games, Weeden completed 71 of 98 passes (72.4 percent) for 739 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions and a passer rating of 92.2. The numbers can be deceiving, however: TheCowboys struggled to move the ball on offense with Weeden, averaging just 18 points per game in losses to the Falcons, Saintsand Patriots.

The Cowboys needed to make room on the roster with Romo set to return after missing seven weeks with a fractured collarbone. Cassel has been an average quarterback -- he's 0-4 as a starter -- but the Cowboys obviously see him as a better backup option than Weeden going forward.

The move isn't necessarily a surprise, but it does show how quickly team brass soured on Weeden. Less than two months ago, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told a local radio station that you "won't see a more gifted passer" than Weeden, who signed a two-year deal with Dallas after being released by the Browns in March 2014.

"As (quarterback coach) Wade Wilson said, he's just not the same guy that we had last year," Jones said shortly after Romo went down. "He's progressed that much. He said that before we had this issue with Tony. I think we all feel good about what we got."

Just another example of how quickly things change in the NFL.

texans love browns players. turbin just signed by dallas. reports still out there that jerrah still yearns for manziel.

we'll see what happens in the off-season and a lot will depend on manziel's performance these last games. too bad if he shits the bed we'll prob trade him for some bum or a 6th round pick.

Texans signed Weeds. Reunited with Hoyer again.

It was pretty good combo .... except when Weeds started.

Z...Wasn't it when he was filling in for Hoyer that he threw the beautiful underhanded "pick 6"? The Texans are doomed!

What am I saying? I was one of the idiots who WANTED to draft Weeden.......oops

I will say ... he filled in for Hoyer in one game I attended, against Buffalo, we were down 10-0 when Hoyer was injured and came back to win.

But the real stars were Travis Benji in punt returns and Bills QB Tuel? throwing away the game in relief of the guy that is their third stringer now.

Housler got waived too, will he end up in Dallas? Let's see: Terence West, Shaun Draugn, Turbin, Bowe, Housler, who's next on the illustrious cut list?

last time I trained up to Ctown was to watch a sunday win over bengals with Hoyer & played great D. did not leave parking lot till tribe clinched play in game in playoffs. stayed with sis in Oregon, than returned to dawgpound for Thursdays win over bills ( damn lets do that again). The play of the game was the bomb that weeds threw up to Gordon on the sidelines for touchdown right in front of me. May have been the best ball weeds ever threw. Damn Gordon was good back then with that stride he had at full speed. Both were great games to watch.

Aaaaannnnnnddddddd he was just signed by the Texans. Didn't even make it through waivers.

Im thinking he's just a temporary back up until Hoyer comes back from injury....then he will be cut yet again....

When did they cut Bowe?

They didnt....

Got to give it to Jerrah... he is the king of the parting shot.

Weeks after calling Wheezy's passes "things of beauty" Jerrah said the 'Boys would have won the games he started had Cassel played.
