  1. I hope the team has Johnny's back. It didn't look like it vs. Cincinnati. More importantly at this point, I hope Johnny makes it to August so we can see and learn more, including what Johnny's learned with these 8 months compared to last May-Dec. What a low bar.
  2. Doesn't the dude on the far right look like Stockton?
  3. Maybe Johnny's new QB guru snapped the photo after a long day of working out.
  4. Maybe new OC Flip was there so he and Johnny could get a jumpstart on those 3 am playbook cram sessions Johnny likes so much.
  5. Maybe Hoyer snapped the photo and they were all there to study film.
  6. Shaw's closer to a capable backup at the moment than Johnny, so, maybe Johnny will clear waivers for the practice squad.
  7. Just need to have a 9-foot tall Brownie run out with Johnny during the lineups. Not to mention then everyone will see how similar JFF and Brownie are.
  8. Awesome history lesson Zombo. Thanks. I sometimes forget, or intentionally block out, the depths of how laughable the worst of the awful has been since '99. Make it required reading for any newb, Browns fan or not, to gain posting rights here.
  9. Wreck this fucking league. Start with wrecking the Bengals' fucking season. Do that JFF and the next two games, playoffs, whatever, are gravy.
  10. 3, he redshirted a year. (insert question about if his redshirt year here is doing some good)
  11. About the rest of the offense (and pass rush and punt returning and placekicking) stepping it up, yes, but it's also part of what happens when we're down to our 4th center, who's actually more a back-up tackle than center, 3rd and 4th TEs, rookie RBs and Josh Gordon's post-suspensions good and bad, which was the case for Hoyer's games last year, too. Even aside from injuries, which always happen to a degree, there were valid reasons why this was supposed to be another 10+ loss season and why we were going to see JFF by game 4. I'll support and be excited with Hoyer or Manziel, but all that makes Hoyer at 7-5/9-5/10-5 at least respectable no matter how much credit/blame he should get (I prefer leaning toward credit considering the previous 15 years of QBs) and even you think JFF gives us the best shot to win now. The make-up/injuries of the roster probably made Pettine more likely to stay with Hoyer because, like it or not, game managing, great defense, re-finding the +2, +3 turnover games and staying close enough for 1 or 2 more Hoyer comeback drives add up to our best shot for the next four games.
  12. Ok, someone said something, someone punched someone, was it a punch, a fight, a riot, Ms. JFF, an entourage, the other drunk asshole's fault, whatever, I'm not trying to figure that BS out. So, what I know is a few hours after practice, meetings, etc. Friday and a few hours before getting on the plane to Atlanta, the 1st round QB (de facto future leader of the franchise) who hasn't proven jack-squat so far is testing the theory of - nothing good happens at 3 a.m. I don't need to speculate or exaggerate anything to ask, do you think Johnny was giving himself a 100% chance of being 100% prepared to play Sunday had his number been called? If you're a pro - in any field - who's been around long enough and proven himself, then you rightly get more benefit of the doubt. No matter what you believe about Johnny and what's true or what's a problem, is he at the point where an employer (coach, GM, owner) or co-worker (teammate) says, even just within their heads, "That deal last night was dumb/bad luck/inconsequential/who knows, but we know Johnny. It doesn't have anything to do with Johnny getting the job done."?
