I looked this up because i heard them talking about it on npr today and one the women speaking who i think was raped definitely sounded american. Looking it up though the south sudanese are christians thst broke from the north who are muslims, its what the civil war was about. This is a head scratcher. This is a civil war in independent South Sudan, between the government and rebels having nothing to do with religion. South Sudan...a nation that received its independence from Sudan in 2011.
