THE BROWNS BOARD

The old "what if" scenario - not far fetched - EMP attack on U.S.

Very possible. If it did happen...what would be your situation? What would you do? How would you

still have water/food/security?

Intesting video.

very few people in this country are even remotely ready for that scenario. Hell I could see our own govt lighting something like that off to "reset" the board once their little bubble economy collapses for the last time. They can blame anyone they want for it too, and who's left will buy into it.

Slow down there Opal

yeah I know, i'm throwing some deep bombs there...but what better way to hide the collapse of our monopoly system? They can never admit that our currency creation and system of economics is based on thin air. It "WILL" eventually collapse once it runs out of patsies to soak up it's excess's....like China was doing for us for a long time. Once that goes away, curtains. If nothing else, Ron Paul is the prophet.

Water filtration system. Rifle, pisol with ammo (lots). Freeze dried foods, varous types (at least a few months). Hand cranked charged radio. Also canned goods can last a few years. Pet food if you have pets. A few good knives. Good pair of boots for winter and summer. Clothing, etc. The stores will be wiped clean by looters and the system will fall apart rapidly. The weak will die. Obama will be laughing with his demon entourage.

Let's see...

Water filtration system - I'd have to hope the little generator would start, and run the

well pump through the water softener. Should look for one that

filters out everything. Wait... it was in the barn, and will be fried....

Buy a new manual one.

Everything else, we actually have everything else, except I wonder about our land. Still grow crops the

next year....hmmm.

Meanwhile, check this out. EMP bursts can fry electronic equipment.

Well I'd have water because I have an old but still perfectly functional cistern that the gutters run off into that I use for gardening. Food? Gardening and hunting plus i have chickens. Security guns of course. Plus the area I live in is so remote that security might not become a huge issue.

We aren't ardent, gung ho preppers.

But we have a cache of food that would last for a few months.

I'm canning and dehydrating veggies, and am going to finally

build a mobile chicken house.

And with the farm, we can hunt, although poaching of woods and gardens

will be a big problem.

Btw, young groundhog is really good. When I was a kid, my cousin said it was the best

chicken he ever ate.

And only -after- he ate it, THEN I told him what it really was. hahahahaha, boy, did he get mad, and

got sick. And I got grounded for a week. B)

Just to make it more entertaining, can we pretend it's a zombie-apocalypse rather than EMP? Either way, find yourself somewhere with a freshwater supply - river, lake, whatever - and fuel, like wood, so you can get clean, potable water. Then food shouldn't be too hard. Only problem is refrigeration, so bringing down a deer might seem good, but you've only got a day or two to eat it before the rot sets in. Unless you have the means and skill to turn it in to jerky. But in that case, you're probably all set anyway.

I will be fine. I know how to smoke and salt cure deer. We make jerky every year.
