I put a lot of energy into organizing a trip to Jacksonville, we had a blast, but that performance has left me numb. Just when you start believing in something ... I tried to join a couple conversations, but don't have the heart at this point in the week. I'll update the fantasy shit next week. I think we could use some more teams in the basketball league. I'm sure by Friday I will have my mojo back, but I'm just going to lurk for awhile ... If a Steeler fan comments on this thread he will be exiled for life. Carry on ... They needed to come out firing on all cylinders and everyone outside a of few just didn't give a fuck If they don't come out hard against Oakland, then we are going to have some problems. It's like 2 completely different teams played from the Pittsburg game to the Jacksonville game. It's an all too familiar feeling. Just look how Hoyer has gone from ..."the league's best deep ball passer"... to a "career backup"...."mediocre qb"...in one week, in the eyes of the local media and a lot of fans. Things went wrong, the Jags defense has been for real, and the Browns defense had trouble with the running game of the Jags. They are stacked with talent, but still getting beaten up each week. At home, they were due for a win. These Browns do NOT quit. The whole offense was off their game. It happens with a new offense this year, plus key injury to the oline. The Jags were a really bad matchup for the Browns, with injuries. I did not get into this in the weekly O-line thread, but this was on my mind during much of the 2nd half of grading. I would love a shot at JAX with our O-line intact. No matter the outcome of the game, I think that would be one helluva interesting match up to delve into.
