If the playoffs started today, here is who would be in: American League: East: Boston 74-54, or Tampa Bay 72-52 Central: Detroit 73-52 West: Texas 73-53 Wildcards: Boston or TB whichever doesn't win East, and Oakland 71-54 In the Hunt: Indians 68-58 (3.5 games behind Oak.), Orioles 67-58, Yankees 66-59, Royals 64-60 National League: East: Atlanta 76-49 Central: Pittsburgh 74-51 West: LA Dodgers 73-52 Wildcards: Cardinals 72-53 and Reds 71-55 In the Hunt: Diamondbacks 65-59 (5 games behind Reds) all other NL teams are below .500 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They would have to climeb over like Yankees/Orioles/As/Rays to get playoff spot. Even a very week last month's schedule won't help them, I don't believe. In the hunt: Balt./Cleve./NYYankees NLE Atlanta NLC Pittsburgh NLW LA WCs: St. Louis/Cinci. In the hunt: no one really. The closest to these are like 9 games back.
