The Gipper
Since the NFL draft began in 1936 7 QBs have been taken with the #22 pick of the draft. Here they are: 1 2014 1 22 Johnny Manziel QB 21 CLE 1 Texas A&M College Stats 2 2012 1 22 Brandon Weeden QB 28 CLE Oklahoma St. College Stats 3 2007 1 22 Brady Quinn QB 22 CLE Notre Dame College Stats 4 2004 1 22 J.P. Losman QB 23 BUF Tulane College Stats 5 2003 1 22 Rex Grossman QB 23 CHI Florida College Stats 6 1953 2 22 Eddie Crowder QB NYG Oklahoma College Stats 7 1948 3 22 Paul Campbell QB Texas Notice the fact that every single one of them has been a major bust basically. (though can a guy that took his team to the Super Bowl be a bust? see Grossman) The guys taken before 2000 each never even played in the league apparently. And, of course , we know about the most recent three taken on this list.

The Gipper
If you dig out all the worse trends in drafting, I promise you, the Browns will be the leading participant in that practice. Just like the one you cited. For the last 15 years, yes, almost certainly.
Comeonman
For the last 15 years, yes, almost certainly.Gotta bad feeling we're in for the same ride this year. The two or three months leading up to the draft are almost as bad as the 17 weeks of the regular season lately
