  1. Why should someone in his position be "obligated" to do those things? Are you saying that someone who has a talent that makes him good money should be required to do certain things? Is it that he's a national idol that should be required to give back? That's like me saying the most skilled lawn care guy in my neighborhood should take time to mow the lawn for all the elderly around use, for free. That's ludacris. Those type of actions are above and beyond the normal expectation for any person, regardless of status, especially in the self centered world most live in.
  2. I'll go further. This organization, like most every successful organization, functions by way or a rank/grade system. QB coaches report to Shanahan, who reports to Pettine, who reports to Farmer, who reports to Haslem, especially on matters that involve decision making, unless there's a prearranged agreement that some things are open for anyone to discuss at anytime, but even then, you set yourself up for failure when you undermind someone like Farmer, and jump the chain of command whenever you want. Maybe this was how it went down and maybe this was all approved communication, but Farmer is on record stating that the pick did not go like this, that Haslem had no influence on the pick and that he never said go get him. If your GM decided what went on in the war room is private information, then a lower grade employee leaked what happened, I would be concerned about the standing of that employee going forward. Not everything about draft prep and execution should be made public, especially if it contradicts your GMs prior statements.
  3. Fan expectation and media expectation will not cause him to start, either. Look at the draft. If they felt the pressure of expectation, we would have picked a WR. Instead, they nailed 6 picks and set us up with 10 pick for next year. If he starts, its because he won with no question that he's better, and even then, it will only be when they feel he's ready enough to not be an injury risk. Im glad Shanahan got the experience he did with RGIII. That will be reflected in how they go about this process. Expect that.
  4. Who cares. Is this the crap you want to talk about for 4 months? Do you also enjoy reading celebrity gossip magazines? Same crap at this point.
