Monday (Late) From Tiberius (Sea of Galilee)

We arrived at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv this morning, shortly before President Trump's arrival, and it is clear that the entire nation has been gripped with anticipation for his visit.

To put the state of Arab-Israel relations in some context, President Trump's flight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Israel is thought to be the first direct flight between the two countries in history! Never before had a plane flown directly between the two countries. That's because, despite all the posturing, Saudi Arabia and most of the Muslim nations in the Middle East do not even formally recognize Israel's existence as a nation.

It is clear that President Trump's strong statements in support of Israel are what is causing these historic doors to open. Unlike President Obama (who refused to visit Israel during his first trip to the Middle East), President Trump intentionally flew from Saudi Arabia to Israel as a statement of his support for Israel.

We believe the stronger the President stands for Israel, the more the doors will open for real discussions and even real peace in the region. That's why our work to urge President Trump and Congress to move our embassy to Jerusalem is so vital.

lol... Just saw footage of our President sitting with the President of Israel... in Israel... and President Trump said to him, "We just got back from the Middle-East..."

I swear one of the Israelis in attendance almost laughed.

Meanwhile it appears that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to order much of his cabinet to attend the tarmac reception of our President.

I read all it took to get the Ministers to cheerfully greet Trump was Netanyahu asking them if they would prefer to have Obama back in the WH? :D

On the historic flight: Yes, it's the first for a US President... since George W. Bush did it all the way back in 2008!

You may have a point there, but it's possible they landed in Jordan first, just a touchdown and take off kind of deal....
