Question for Trump haters

Recommended Posts

Ironically yes because the FBI is sworn to uphold the laws of the United States. The Russians are under no such rule.

Another question if we have any naysayers reading this what say Chuck schumers wet dreams come true and it turns out that Donald Trump and Putin talk this over well before the election. Putin says I have some dirt and we might leak it. Trump replies fine with me. Is that in and of itself under the jurisdiction of any law? In other words is there any illegality if that's what happened?

good question on the latter. I'm sure I would have taken it as a joke from putin.

Undermining a pres that is not what your politics are, deep state-wise...

is a traitorous act.

'But higgardly got away with mishandling secrets.... so.... the dems think they are forever

untouchable.

Sic em Sessions.

Clinton/obaMao have politicized our gov into two camps - an American camp,

and a corrupt, marxist camp.

Even if the absurd notion that Trump somehow colluded with the Russians to sway the election, it wouldn't be against the law!

So says self proclaimed liberal Alan Dershowitz:

think he will be the beneficiary of the special prosecutor,” Dershowitz said. “A special prosecutor is supposed to investigate a crime and most of the things that have been leveled at the Trump administration are not criminal acts. Collaborating with the Russians to get yourself elected — not a criminal act. Terrible, morally wrong, but not criminal. The same thing is true with the leaking of the information to the Russians.”

Host Anderson Cooper and Dershowitz’s fellow panelists Jeffrey Toobin and Carl Bernstein argued the investigation should proceed, but Dershowitz insisted there wasn’t a criminal statute about what Trump and his campaign have been accused.

“Let’s assume that that’s true — show me the criminal statute,” he said. “I still sit here as a civil libertarian. I don’t want us ever to become what Stalinist Russia became when Stalin was told by Lavrentiy Beria, ‘Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.’ What is the crime?”

Cooper said the question wasn’t whether or not it was illegal collusion or just collusion but if it occurred, to which Dershowitz said that wasn’t something over which Mueller would have jurisdiction.

“[T]hat is a political issue, but that doesn’t give Mueller jurisdiction,” he added. “Mueller has no jurisdiction to explore whether he made political mistakes, did terrible things, engaged in wrongdoing. Only criminal acts.”

No more illegal than Bammy attempting to sway the Israeli elections.

First... as I am not a "Trump hater" I hesitated to click on the thread. But since Stinky is clearly not a "Trump hater", I figured I would not be labelled one either. Then when I saw that cal is here as well, I knew I was safe.

Based on The leaks about the campaign from the democrats did they or did they not attempt to interfere in and subvert our democracy?

By publishing that information did the Washington Post?

By leaking information from the FBI did those agents?

Are you asking whether contemporaneously "leaking information about Russian attempts to interfere with our election process" interfered with our election process?

Seriously, I'm asking...

I guess what I'm asking is how do we define interfering with our election? Is any kind of dirty campaign trick and interference into the pier and honest democracy some people believe exists?

For instance, and allow me to use this semi facetious hypothetical, a mayoral candidate lives next to me and beats his wife. I set up my video camera from a hidden location take some footage and released that footage on YouTube.

Let's also say I've informed his opponent about this.

I'm assuming there are regulations against filming the inside of someone's home without their permission.

Let's say she has consistently refused to press charges. Am I interfering with the electoral process at that point?

OK... back....

Not sure your hypothetical helped, but there are certainly invasion of privacy laws. No expertise here, but I recall a story about a writer that rented a two-story home in Alaska next to one rented by Sarah Palin. From a deck off the 2nd floor of the home he rented he could see into Palin's backyard and had set up video and still-shot cameras. She sought legal remedy to ban his "invasion", but was rebuffed, so she built a 16' fence as needed to block his vantage point.

So assuming you did nothing that enabled you to record that which would be in public view from your property, then I believe you'd be legally "safe" in recording a "normal" interaction between your neighbors. And, IMO, it would not be a "dirty trick".

On the other hand... hiring a hooker, let's say a Rebecca De Mornay look-alike, to "mistakenly" knock on his door and then recording nature taking its course would be.

Once recorded then what you did with the "tape" could turn less innocent, e.g., if it used by you, or others to whom you provided the recording, to coerce the candidate into withdrawal from your fictitious race, a/k/a "blackmail". But it's outright release, compensated or not? Fair game as best I can tell.

I'll extend the exercise one more step and ask you... If a third neighbor sees what you are doing, i.e., recording your neighbor, should they tell the neighbor that you are surveilling?

Now back to the 2016 Campaign... It was on 10/07/16 that DHS posted the following:

The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.

This was not a leak. This was a finding and a public warning to states to be extra vigilant in safeguarding their election processes. Such information, five-weeks before the election had to be disseminated and any attempt to keep it "quiet" would have been futile given the width and breathe of its distribution.

Once publicized its use by any parties becomes "fair game". While release of the joint statement does not retroactively render any related leaks that preceded it "lawful", it would, I imagine, reduce the priority of their investigation.

PSI do realize that the next door neighbor with the video camera is not a true metaphor but you get the idea...

Yes for some reason I can't delete private messages. Maybe I have to do it on the laptop. I still like the message but there is no delete option underneath it.

If you are on Facebook you can send me a message And I think there's a contact me on my website.

Actually I don't... have never been to Put-in Bay... but I've likely seen it from the top of any one of many Cedar point Attractions.

I am way overdue for CP visit...

Frankly I probably wouldn't visit there if I hadn't been working there for all these years. Depends what you enjoy doing with your leisure time I guess. People ask me if I go out after my gig and see other entertainers and I very rarely do. No disrespect but I don't want to hear a bunch of guys playing the same shit i play. ;)

What if you like that kind of stuff there's plenty of it. We do have a microbrew which isn't great but......

A lot of restaurants none of which are chains.

The more his presidency goes along the more I like it. He convinced the people he has good christian morals, married three times. He convinced people he's a fantastic businessman, failed casino and restructured debt. He convinced people he supports the conservative agenda, registered democrat longer than republican and contributed to democratic campaigns. He convinced people he will support American jobs, outsourced the manufacturing of many products that bear his name and used foreign building materials in construction. The only thing missing is he's not a Catholic who protested Vietnam while driving a woman to an abortion appointment.

well, if you'all are goin to go Irish... (not my cup of tea, though)

************************************************************

BJs Irish Root Beer

After going to BJ's Brewhouse for the first time a few months ago, and having their delicious Irish Root Beer, Clint and I decided to find a recipe/make our own that matched their recipe. It may be a little stronger than what they serve, but it is so so good.

Ingredients:

1 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey (I'm sure other whiskey would work too)

1/2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream

1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

1/2 oz cream

12 oz Root Beer

Directions:

1. Add the ingredients into a chilled glass in the order above. Top with cold root beer. Serve!

*You do not have to add the cream, BJ's Irish Root Beer doesn't have cream in it. It just makes it a little creamier and tastier.

I don't drink alcohol. don't like it. never did. Steve does, that's why I posted the silly recipe.

You COULD try to be legit in your responses. You wouldn't get so MAD, bro.
