Who has the best chance?

Here is the list of teams who have not won an NFL Championship since before I graduated from High School (and now I am a year and a half from potential retirement age). Plus I am adding any other (expansion) team that has not won a title:

Arizona Cardinals....last title: 1947

Detroit Lions....1957

Philadelphia Eagles...1960

Minnesota Vikings....1960

San Diego Chargers...1963

Cleveland Browns....1964

Buffalo Bills.....1963

Atlanta Falcons...1966

Cincinnati Bengals...1968

New York Jets....1968

Kansas City Chiefs...1969

Jacksonville Jaguars....1995

Carolina Panthers....1995

Houston Texans...2001

Which of these teams do you think has the best chance of breaking their drought and winning a title this year...if any. Or...give the odds of any of these teams winning it all.

Notice that not a single team from the top post is in bold. Of that group they give the best odds to The Eagles.

Cardinals were red hot last year, too many injuries at QB doomed them.

Browns, just because I'm a homer and I really think they can win the division.

Bengals, defense is good enough for sure.

Lions just maybe. They've been on the brink of something good, and that division is wide open.

where can I bet on the Browns to win the superbowl with that payout? Do I have to travel to Vegas?

I'd say Arizona with Palmer back. Atlanta has a shot if they get any sort of pass rush and Jake Matthews doesn't suck anymore. If Ryan Mallet comes out and does well, I can see Houston in a SB. They are good up front on both sides of the ball. Got receivers. Solid secondary. Great backs, etc.

I put $50 down on the Browns @8:1 to win the AFC North, and $50 down @33:1 to win AFC Championship. One of my friends was out there last month, I owe him $100

Wait, is gambling illegal outside of vegas (and reno, atlantic cty etc)?

Gambling on sports I believe is legal ONLY in Nevada. Casino gambling...slots, poker, roulette is legal all over the place, but sports book is only there. And not in Atlantic City either. At one point like back in the 1970s you could only go to either Nevada or AC to casino gamble. Then the Indians won the right to have casinos on their reservations....and then casino gambling proliferated from there......but sports gambling has not gone beyond Nevada, though I think their have been attempts to legalize it.

....or, maybe I am wrong. After some research apparently sports gambling is legal in 4 states: Nevada, Oregon, Delaware and Montana (only Oregon has a professional team located in that state....and just one: the Portland Trailblazers.) I was just in Montana last year and saw small slot machine casinos everywhere, but I did not know that I could bet on sports.

Has anyone bet legally on sports in any of those state?

Well going to Vegas soon so I am going to pay attention to over/under on # wins for the regular season. I'll be doing that for Browns and Texas A&M. I find it is best to take the under because if they win more than I expect then I am happy to lose the money for the better record, whereas if they lose more than I expect, I at least get paid for the pain of losing too many games. Total win odds for the Browns regular season is currently running 6.5. If you take the under you lose your bet if they win 7 or more of the 16. Odds for same for A&M is 7.5 meaning you lose the under bet if they win 8 or more of the 12. In the SEC West I consider that a great bet to take with a bottom dwelling defense trying to turn it around with a great new DC from LSU. I'd be happy to lose $50 for 8 wins in that division, especially since one of the out of conference games is Arizona St.

First, you overlooked the Titans/ Oilers.

I can't see any of them breaking through this year. Best chance in the bunch? Probably Philly... and it appears Vegas agrees.

Yes, I did. Or actually, I didn't. I had them written down, but then forgot to type them.

Just like a lot of the rest of the country. Fat cats keep getting fatter

Seriously, no gambling (generally) outside of very specific restricted locations? Howcome?

we are a country built on diversity....

prostitutes in vegas get rich....prostitutes in Ohio go to jail

gambling in some states is good business.....gambling in other states is organized crime...

selling weed in Colorado is medicine distribution......selling weed in NY gets you 10 years.....

walking down the street with a machine gun is completely legal......but reaching for your cell phone might get you shot...

we embrace all diversity ....yet hate everybody who is different...

we are very progressive......yet completely against any type of change....

and you can do all of these things and get away with it....or get arrested, or beaten, or shot ....just kinda depends....

Fear of corruption....it has happened. Religious objections. Protectionism.....state lotteries and casinos don't want competition

Remember, before like 1970 you could only casino gamble in Nevada. Then Atlantic City allowed it starting in the 70s. Then Indian casinos in the 80s....then it starte proliferating til now it is all over the place. It has only been 5-6 years now that Ohio has had Casinos. Sports betting...as noted is still only allowed in a very few places.

Didn't know that but I don't really have a problem with it.

You mean you have never made a trip to your local legal whorehouse? Hell, do you even know where your local legal whorehouse is?

If not, you can apparently get help from the service run by this guy:
