OldBrownsFan
The best defense in a debate is to be on offense. Of course the moderator can influence this by the questions they ask and Holt's questions put Trump many times on defense. Trump can answer the question anyway he wants though and he should have taken those questions and turned them right around on Clinton and pointing out all her troubles. It appeared to me Holt was influenced in his questions by democratic talking points especially by bringing up issues like Obama's birth which Trump declared over and done with weeks ago.Holt also catered to the democrats by fact checking Trump a number of times. The problem is Holt was wrong with his fact check that stop and frisk was ruled unconstitutional.
MLD Woody
Lester asked 15 exclusive questions to Trump and 2 to Hillary. MLD Woody
Trump has a stronger support base online so of course he won all the online polls. Exactly. Not to mention they're all voluntary polls. Not the normal policy type polls you'd see on Gallup/Pew. So there really is no statistical significance to them. (Before the people I expect attack me on here, understand the difference between these polls. A voluntary online poll and a random sampled policy type poll. Thanks)
Pumpkin Eater
Remember the first debate between Al Gore and Bush? Talking heads crowned Gore (Hillary) the winner but he came across as arrogant (Hillary) and Bush saw a boost in the polls.

OldBrownsFan
Although all things considered (biased moderator) I didn't think Trump did badly on the debate but he missed a lot of opportunities and he could have done much better if he had done what Clinton had done beforehand. Clinton took a lot of time in debate prep and had rehearsals with a Trump stand in so that in the debate she had every talking point down pat and all her answers ready to go. I can about guarantee there was nothing spontaneous in her debate. Trump not only did not do this he says he plans on changing nothing for his next debate. I hope that is just spin on his part. Romney won the first debate when Obama didn't prepare for it and Obama prepared for the next two debates. Trump needs to do the same for the next two debates. If Trump would have had a mock debate prior to the actual debate they might have caught a debating flaw of his to become too defensive on some of the questions. The Cysko Kid
I'm on the road hundreds of miles a day and I can honestly say I've not seen one single hillary yard sign and only a handful of bumper stickers. I've seen hundreds of trump signs. Does it mean anything? Maybe it doesn't. Or maybe it means trump has a larger support base among people who aren't loudly proclaiming their politics on the Internet.

I think it means primarily the enthusiasm of Trump supporters is greater than those of Clinton's. The same way with the unscientific Drudge snap polls that only prove the enthusiasm of Trump supporters. The snap polls show Trump winning by a large amount in the debate but the scientific random polls don't show that at all but show Clinton winning the debate. bbedward
Hillary signs are here in faggot Lakewood, haven't seen any Trump sides this side of town. But it's maybe just because people don't want to get them stolen or cars keyed. CNN introduces bias into their polling methods. Therefore, CNN is using unscientific methodology. And seriously? NY magazine? Bias in science in unavoidable, that's about the first thing they teach in science class. Science then is all about reducing bias which the polls that I referenced have done for over 2 decades. These polls are verified through many different measures and most accurately reflect the subjective nature of winning vs losing in debates. Fivethirtyeight for example (and in the source I presented) runs 10,000 simulations to project outcomes to reduce bias where possible. Of course, you're a damn moron so none of that is going to process but perhaps for others it will.
