Interesting St dept connection. Don't think Obama has anything to do with this but the Clinton connection can't be looked past. When Bill was president there was some weird shit like this going on with the Chinese too. Another reason why I hope the dems run somebody else so there isn't a menu of two turds as it seems like there is every time.

No doubt. I bet it's the first he's ever heard of it, he gets his news from the media like everyone else remember.

exactly, which is why that war was dirty and in the end caused infinitely more trouble than it was ever gonna be worth.

So you believe that by changing the currency system for oil worldwide from the US dollar to the Euro is not a cause for concern?

Pal you are out of your fucking mind.

people should be allowed to sell their oil for camels, or bubblegum...or whatever the fuck they want. That's a principle of capitalism, and you call me out of my mind? How dare any govt dictate to another sovereign entity in what form they should sell their resources. If nobody else wanted to deal with Husseins stupid idea than he would have had to capitulate and sell his oil in what people wanted, otherwise they just wouldn't do business with him and he would lose out. Again, fundamental principles of capitalism that astonishingly some of you don't get yet constantly persevere that the left is full of commie's.

How dare any country to another country they can't invade their neighbor or exterminate a particular group of people or declare their independence?

And for clarification I could give a fuck about spreading democracy or capitalism or justice around the globe unless it results in benefit for the United States of America.

you just put on display what liberals have been accusing conservative of for decades. If you were a Fox news broadcaster and you let that cat out on the air, you'd be fired the next day...but not because they disagreed. In other words, shhhhhhhh

All wars are dirty.

dirty by nature yes, but not all by intent. I would argue ww2 was necessary, as far as I know, but everything since was of ill intent. It still amazes me that most americans in the 60's, not all, but most got sold on the notion that Vietnam was absolutely necessary to our national security or stopping the domino effect blah blah blah. But yes for the most part I agree with you.

This reminds me of when the US spy plane crashed into the Chinese fighter plane, killing their pilot and forcing the spy plane to land in China. We were clearly spying on them and they released the crew with nothing more than an apology from Bush's office. We've played this game already.

Whats even more amazing is that prior to entering WWII, there were leftist peaceniks and anti-war types even in those days.... opposing Americas involvement in the war, insisting on diplomacy and or gestures of kindness such as offering Hitler a box of candy and roses thinking he would have a change of heart.

Cause "Nazis are mothers and fathers too" ya know.

I'm sure there were. They ain't been wrong since though have they? Nope, but it always takes a few decades before people are like ah ok maybe it wasn't the best idea. In the meantime trillions of dollars were literally shit down the toilet and more importantly, thousands and thousands of lives were cost on both sides. The "peaceniks" are usually right because "most" wars are always fought for some minor special interest, not the overall good of the country.

"peaceniks" ??? You mean like the ones protesting the war in Vietnam, like Jane Fonda, and the rest

who literally stunk because they thought showering was hurting their "Earth Mother", had raggedy hair,

were paranoid by all real life on earth, and at Kent, went to the giant rally in Washintong DC, and the leaders thereof,

took all the bus money, and blew it on a party and never went to the rally, while a lot of other protesters got arrested,

and they didn't have any way to get back to Ohio? And got corraled in JFK stadium?

I know that because I sat down at the student union afterwards, and realized that one of the ladies

across the table had tears falling like rain down her face. She wasn't a hippie, but her brother was

in Vietnam, and she wanted him to come home, and the war ended. Her friend explained that she

was okay, but what happened in D.C. made her realize those "peaceniks" were frauds.

And she realized that nearly getting arrested protesting the war for her brother, that the hippie

leaders had taken all their money and splurged on a big party of their own? Those hippie

"peaceniks" are your heroes? All those who raised so much hell they encouraged the enemy

to torture and maim to raise public opinion eventually, like Jane Traitor Fonda did?

And, actually alienated most of the middle class against acting to end the Vietnam war, which was started

by LBJ ???? And caused who knows how many tens of thousands of American soldier deaths because the war

just continued to drag on?

Sorry, but you are like a guy who says the republicans will never win, and the times they lose, you gloat, and the

times you're wrong, you go hide somewhere until "you win" again.

I don't know of this story you're referencing but I simply don't care what a small group of people did. I shouldn't even have used the word "peacenik" to refer to all people who opposed the Vietnam war. Because frankly anyone with any lick of sense about them would have opposed the Vietnam war. PUre dirt on our part to get involvd there.

not JFK.
