Richiswhere
Browns got a 3rd, 4th, and a 5th from Carolina . . . they now have 4 picks in 4th, 4 picks in 5th. What the Browns did was drop 16 spots in the 3rd round for a 4th round pick.

One Post
Goddamn. They are dragging this draft. Too many commercials and a bunch of bullshit. Who cares about somebody's brat kids on stage? Make the pick already. (too many pain pills for OPFtT)

JAFBF
What are we gonna do with 16 rookies? Sounds too me like they're serving notice to the Locker Room to either shape up or ship out. There is no doubt about it, this current abominable Roster is being purged . . . way overdue. This is just the first year, don't forget they've stock piled picks into the next two years as well. Opal312
I have the CBS SPORTS APP on my IPhone and it has the draft tracker. Teams, picks, rounds, positions, trades and best available at every round. Had this app for years. Will the Browns get another wide receiver? They need more than Coleman. jcam222
Kessler is the first pick I really don't like. I'd have taken Cardale or even Cook over him.

I agree about this being first pick I am not thrilled about. Cook to me is not good from what I saw of him this yr and apparently the rest of the NFL agrees with me on that so far. I too would rather have Cardale over Kessler but hopefully Hue can do something with him.

MLD Woody
The only positive about taking Kessler is that we get to see Cook fall more But man, this is the first pick I haven't liked. With all of the other holes we need to fill, I just don't see the point.
D Bone
I'm a SoCal guy who's seen all of Cody's games over the last 3 years. Not thrilled with the pick, but I've got to say I'm pretty interested to see what Hue sees in him, and what he may grow into with Hue's coaching. That being said, hmmmmmm. Louisville Slugger
I'm not thrilled by Kessler but there is some things to like. He has never completed under 65% of his passes. He has HUGE hands at 10 7/8 inches. He also won the long ball competition over Cardale Jones. Maybe Hue can work some magic
Opal312
Bad pick Kessler. At least Jones could be molded into a winner. This draft was very mediocre at best. Trading out of the 2 and not getting one Ohio State player makes me angry. Think how good we'd be with Bosa and Elliot! Nope! I'm not impressed at all with Sashi and DePodesta. Why take Kessler? Why not take a wide receiver? Safety? Just wait and see how good the careers of Eli Apple and Taylor Decker will be. Same Old Browns

hoorta
Ogbah pick getting ripped: http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2.php Walter gets fixated on "perceived value" - not perceived risk. Jack and Smith are damn risky picks. You can say the Cowboys taking Smith at the top of round 2 was the biggest reach in the draft, yet Walter LOVED it. Ditto the Jags taking Jack. A kicker in round 2? What am I missing? You can make a case regardless how good the kicker, they very rarely play on winning teams, and fer sure aren't worth high picks. Bad pick Kessler. At least Jones could be molded into a winner. This draft was very mediocre at best. Trading out of the 2 and not getting one Ohio State player makes me angry. Same Old Browns Yo, Opal- I'm a huge OSU homer, but taking a guy just because he played for Ohio State doesn't fly with me anymore. When we traded out of #2 Zeke and Bosa were off the board. Had we stayed there, we were taking Wentz- sorry about that. Von Bell would have been nice- but he went a couple picks before the Browns were on the clock in the third round. Yah- we could have had Braxton Miller- but we took Coleman in the first- and we alredy have the OSU project Pryor on the roster. I was on the Cardale train, but I'll defer to Hue on quarterback evaluation. I'm with most of the guys on not being impressed with the Kessler pick- IMO we could have gone elsewhere than quarterback if you're drafting a project. Sort of a reach- he would have been available with one of our fourth round picks. Doesn't surprise me at all Cook is falling like a rock, when you're interviewing for a job, don't come off like you don't give a rat.
