If you could have any WR in this class would you go for Cooper, White, Parker, or another .......if they were all available at 12 ?

Does not matter if your pick can be classed as a reach....just want opinions on who you would like to see in a Browns uniform ....if any

70% of experts have Cooper coming off the board first at 4

welll.....I wouldnt pick one in the first......but I like White best.for the Browns because he has what our other receivers dont....size and strength....

And....still thinking for the Browns only.......Id go to Parker second.....then Cooper 3rd

Dorial Green-Beckham is going to be an amazing Wide Receiver in the NFL. I don't care about the past, all I care about is whether he's learned from the past and what he's going to do from here on out.

Hmm thats a tough one, because Cooper has a more diverse route tree. The guy can be an X, Y, Z receiver in the league, unlike White. He's also the most NFL-ready + has huge hands (sam as Beckham Jr.)

DeVante Parker doesn't really impress me, and White has the highest ceiling.

yeah.....tho Im not really rating the Wr's overall skill and talent.....Im picking one to fit the Browns and fill the JG gap cause we have a lot of versatility with our existing guys....

Cooper is probably the most polished but also the most like our existing receivers.....Id prefer that other BIG dimension we dont have yet...

Your logic isn't very sound. So you wouldn't want the guy who can run the whole route tree? The guy with the better (and bigger) hands? The better deep threat?

All because he's two inches shorter? :S

Can you imagine a 2016 lineup of Josh Gordon-Amari Cooper-Andrew Hawkins-Taylor Gabriel? We'd have the best receiving corps

whatever...you like who you like....I like White and dont see a huge difference in their ratings overall....they're both great players...

to me White is faster, stronger, more physical and more aggressive(it not just 2" that makes me prefer him), which is just my preference...

Hey...All of em have pro's and cons and we each choose our preferences based on a different set of priorities....

No worries.....Cooper looks good too.....and think either one would look good in Brown & Orange

I agree that Green-Beckham has the most upside in this deep WR draft. I'm betting he becomes the one that sets the standard for a really needy team. He's taller faster and has better hands than all the rest. He can go to the Manziel school of head straightening and become The Man.

Say what you want about the SEC but we do have the best cornerbacks in the country. White did have a nice game against Alabama (which corners were suspect at times throughout the year), but Cooper did it every single week.

Smoking on live TV... those were the days...

Also... that amorphous border around Ernie... that was cutting edge stuff for its day.

WR Justin Hardy ECU has all of D. Parker intangibles and bigger and better hands Pick 77 Sweet. I would even take him at 43..

Actually, Gumby, I just watched a video of the wr's in this draft....

you mention Hardy? Whoever did these ranking up....

say Hardy is a top 15 player ! This draft is crazy.

I disagree, and the comments after the video are great.

Its so close.......Cooper is the 5th rated overall prospect...white is 6th.....(doesnt get closer than that, if yer askin me).......

I read a quote that said something to the effect of :....White has the highest ceiling and Cooper has the highest floor. Making Cooper the safer pick who's less likely to bust and White the riskier pick who's more likely to explode.......

just a roll of the dice......

Here are their pre-draft player scores and a few from last year too....

Watkins = 7.31

Cooper = 7.13

White = 6.95

Evans = 6.42

Beckham= 6.16...

So, Watkins would have been rated #1 in this class too......and Odell Beckham would be 5th(and by a ways).....

And we all know that Watkins was billed as "once in a decade" (still could live up to it too)....but where would you pick him now, with this group???....curious.......for me, it would be 5th......

...or you could take a player that we actually have a shot to draft, as in DGB. A player that is probably going to be BETTER THAN ALL the players that you just listed... just sayin...

White vs. Cooper is picking between Julio Jones or Dez Bryant and Antonio Brown. You want a inconsistent spectacularity or week-in, week-out gettin the job done?

Well...like I said earlier....Im not trying to convince anyone White is "better"....just honestly answering the OP's question about who I thought was more suitable for the Browns....and considering they are almost equal talents, I felt the one who added a new dimension or added mismatch opportunity would be best...

Rather than ask would I rather have Dez or Brown(it's dez btw)......apply it to the Browns...then ask "would I rather have Dez AND Antonio Brown or just 2 Antonio Browns........Id take the combo....(and so would the Steelers considering they just added 6-4" Bryant)

So, better player or not(and I can accept Cooper as #1), I think White adds a new dimension to our team that Cooper doesnt.....While Cooper Improves what we already have, he still leaves us without that big target.....so....no huge debate on who's best....just a perspective on the type of WR the Browns "may" want......and there are "types" and different styles that just add more opportunities for mismatches and the like.....and Pettine loves that shit...

Separate yourself from the man crush.

It'll never happen......

Really?

Comparing 2013 Beckham to 2014 Cooper and White, yes.

Mudfly, my bad, I was speaking in general, not just for the Browns. I'd probably take White too for our squad. And I'd take Dez for our squad, but I wouldn't take Dez over Antonio in general, but that's just me. The Cowboys have the superior OL, TE, running game (not necessarily RB), and #2 WR, and not much of a drop off at QB, yet Bryant got shut down in some games due to double teams. Why hasn't Brown had that problem? The Steelers are certainly a bit more of a wide open offense, but I don't know if that alone explains it. I definitely don't see Dez producing the same if he were in AB's place while I do see AB doing what Dez does statistically if he were in Dallas.
