This clip (like his others) is full of them (yay!) but also interprets statistics incorrectly (not shocking). Paraphrasing: "We only discuss mental health after Mass Shootings - but less than 5% of gun violence is committed by people with no history of mental illness." Well Ok, apples and oranges. Lets discuss what % of mass shootings are committed by people with a hx of mental illness. Or maybe lets not lump all gun violence into a discussion about mental illness (gang shootings, unknown/unsolved, self defense, etc.). Lets also keep some perspective and understand that mass shootings are extremely rare in a country that has roughly the same amount of guns as it does people in it.
