It was only a matter of time...

this could be war.

which, russia will go for, while we

have this coward as president in our WH.

Us? Directly? No. But it shows that the UN is hopeless, worthless, and

a waste of our time and money.

Nato should be there, though, because once Nato idly stands by, and at least doesn't have

a presence on the back lines in the Ukraine...

it will be a next move for russia to go after other countries who ARE part of NATO.

Note - Russia passed a new law, that expedites "new territories" to become an

official part of russia's borders.

Also note: Of course, russia was never going to just stop with Crimea. Crimea was just

the easiert move to make first.

I don't know. I remember watching the invasion of Czechoslovakia.

The russians will not stop at the Ukraine. No country over there believes that.

If Russia starts a real war, the first thing to happen will be them leaving the UNSC, and the second will be the UNSC voting on declaring war on Russia - US, UK, China, all bearing down on them? I don't think it ends well for Putin, who then becomes a war criminal and is subsequently "bin Ladened." I hope it won't come to it, and I'm sure it won't.

No, russia is a permanent member, as is our U.S. and China.

And the UN is helpless - as a permanent member, russia has

veto power.

But the UN is useless, and corrupt, and worthless anyways.

And russia has maneuvered themselves to be the EU supplier

of oil. That's what the baltic war was about. They wanted to take

out that pipeline that could have circumvented their pipeline to Europe.

You truly think the conditions globally are exactly how they were in the 1960s? Russia is a husk of what they were. They will make a lot of noise and not start a fight with anyone who would put up a fight. Logic

*******************************************************

Hey, that's dumb - a straw man argument - eh? I never implied the Soviet Union was the same as present day

russia. And of course, conditions are very different.

Now, Russia wants that power back. That is the point. And their military advances are light years ahead of where

they used to be. They've spent so much of their oil money on offensive military might, because they knew one day,

they were going to go take back the power and "ownership" of countries that they used to have. Putin has long

rued the day the soviet union fell apart. War is ready to break out against Israel, because obamao is a weak ass coward

as far as foreign affairs go, and the russians will go for broke to advance their power and control as much as they can,

before this dirtbag coward leaves our WH. Between the M.E. and russian moves, we are headed for big, serious trouble.

It's a lot closer than it used to be. Less than a year away, maybe.

I don't know that they would get to vote on the matter of removing them from the council?

Interesting ... here are some opinions on the matter.

But I think it is impossible that the entire UN would vote to kick the

russians out of the UN...

If they were to invade europe and start WW3? Don't think that vote would take much time.

Their military tech is garbage compared to the European big boys (UK, Germany, France). They have numbers and that is it.

I think this will end up in the garbage can with your "big serious trouble" fears of ebola. Putin needs people to be afraid of him. He is a paper tiger.

No, no, no. I'd remember our bed being ruined.

I think it was letting all sorts of illegals coming across the border,

and bringing all sorts of diseases with them...like ebola,

and the Woodypeckerhead Eunuch Syndrome Virus.

  • 2 weeks later...

If Putin was given a 'Murrican name, and magically transformed into a Republican POTUS candidate for 2016, there would be a collective orgasm from "the right". If you liked little Ricky Santorum in 2012, then you'd really like Putin 2016.

That is, if you would take the time to examine what he wants for his people, and not thing OMG - PUTIN evil commie - he can't take action to protect Russian infrastructure in historically Russian controlled lands....

I'll preface this with I know he rose to power out of the KGB, so he has to be hardened and ruthless.

But:

He doesn't seem to favor the miltiary adventurism that his Communist predecessors did.

He wants Russians to start having families again.

In spite of having his formative years in the peak of communism, his mother took his to church often. He thinks Russian Orthodoxy is good for Russians. He (according to reports) worships regularly and has a father confessor.

He thinks gays and feminist are bad for Russia.

His reprisals to Muslims that have acted out have been much swifter and cost effective (in rubles and lives) than ours.

Now there is trouble with Russia wanting to take Mariupol.

Double click on the map to enlarge it...and look where it is.

Big, serious trouble just getting started, eh?

So do you suggest we send troops into Ukraine?

If the EU countries are worried, then they can do something. I don't give a single fuck what happens to podunk former Soviet satellite countries.
