In this hypothetical situation, many things could be a factor.

Mostly, at the heart of the sim, a random number generator.

I play as the other teams (to get my "God Score"... feeds my complex) and check what the sim chose for us.

9 times out of 10 it's Kevin White at 12 and Malcom Brown at 19. I could live with that.

Eric Kendricks shows up a lot as our new ILB as does Bryce Petty as our project QB.

nice draft right there but i'd add another DL just for depth's sake, but overall i'd walk away a happy camper.

Starting to see a lot of movement in the First-pick rankings...

Former Day 1 prospects Funchess and McKinney are now Day 2...

Former Day 3 prospect and small school wunderkind, Marpet is now a solid Day 2 guy..

A product of getting film time in on these guys.

That and the most recent wave of mocks...

The PlayTheDraft game that Mud and I are playing has an interesting player ranking mechanism that's an algorithm based upon a combination of key Mocks and select scout reports. It has predicted many of the sims' moves.

One group that has moved up significantly as of late is the CB group. Byron Jones (UConn) has risen the most and is on the verge of becoming a 2nd rounder (as is Marpet). Trey Waynes still leads the CB group and is just outside the top ten.

Gotta say Ive been buying and selling CB's pretty much the whole time(WR & DB really fit my comfort zone).....made a small fortune off of Rollins, Collins and Waynes.....so I am excited to see them finally on the rise(there was a day this past week that I had 6 CBs all on the plus side).....cb's and wr's just seem to fit in my round house.....

While I see you with a lot of OL.....another comfort zone thing, me thinks.....;)

True... made a good bit off Marpet since the Combine, but nowhere near what I made off of Beasley's post-combine rise. Now the O-line folk seem to be settling in some. Movement has been more in the "skill positions".

Lately I've been going more with reading charts and applying good old, stock market technicals to them. Good practice and seems to be working quite nicely.
