The Gipper Posted April 26, 2017 Report Share Posted April 26, 2017 Here is the Bust Factor of years in which 2 or more QBs have been drafted in the first round, since 1999 1999 2 or 3 out of 5 (3 if you count Couch)..McCown/Smith 2000 only 1 QB taken....Pennington 2001 only 1 QB taken...Vick 2002 3 out of 3 were busts ...Ramsay/Harrington/Carr 2003 2 or 3 out of 4. Grossman/Boller/Leftwich 2004 1 out of 4 . JP Losman 2005 1 out of 3 maybe...if you think of Jason Campbell as a bust 2006 2 out of 3 Young/Leinert (and the third is Cutler) 2007 2 out of 2 Russell/Quinn 2008 0 out of 2 (Flacco/Matt Ryan) 2009 2 out of 3 Sanchez? Freeman 2010 1 out of 2 Tebow...and it depends on what you feel about Sam Bradford 2011 3 out of 4 Ponder/Gabbert/Locker 2012 2 out of 4 Griffin and Weeden 2013 Only 1 QB taken ...and he can be considered a bust: EJ Manual 2014 A bit early perhaps...one bust for sure: JFF....and Bortles and Bridgewater 2015 Looks good for the 2 taken: Winston/Mariota 2016 Too early: Goff/Wents/Lynch Looks like an over 50% bust factor to me. If Indy put Luck on the trade block, he would garner all kinds of offers. teams don't even want to sign RG3 off the street, let alone trade even the most modest of commodities.
