Bush indeed spent a lot of time on Vacation, not as much as the Obamas. Ok, here is the difference. While the bushes spend their vacation at home, using air force one to fly them to Texas and back, George W. spend a lot of that time working from that vacation spot. If you add in all the White House parties, the bill comes to a whopping twenty five million dollars. Obama, and his family are world travelers it would seem. One trip to Hawaii cost taxpayers four million dollars. f you times that by their three other vacations, their daughters trips as well ass he Michelle trips, and all the White House parties, it is not even close to George W. No, it surpasses Bush by a mere thirty two million adding the total to a whopping 57 million. So when the public criticized the Bushs for spending out dollars for vacations, in the eight years, remember, that the Obamas fifty seven million was in three years time for the Obamas. The argument is easy to win. Everything Obama does that is wrong is blamed on, and compared to George W. Bush. The fact is, they, the left always compares the Obamas three year term to Bushs eight years. If we do the math, and allow the Obamas to continue, the bill would be approximated to one hundred and forty three million dollars estimating with the year not being over yet for the Obamas to have their fun in the sun. If we compare that to the Bush twenty five million dollar bill, do we really have an argument? In these troubled economic times, in which the President feels is not troubledat all, do we really need to watch the hierarchy spend more then most families will see in their lifetime? He's pointing out that the first link has such awful grammar and spelling mistakes that it is hard to take seriously. Not to mention the fact that none of his numbers are cited. It really is a terrible, terrible source. You don't see that though. You just see an "article" you agree with, and you deem that good enough. So we don't count Bush's trips to his vacation home, because he was totally also working. Obama though never did anything other than vacation when he left. I'm guessing they're still always on call no matter what. A president's vacation is probably not that much of a real vacation. The claim was made that Obama has vacationed 3 to 4 times as much as Bush. That's false Or the claim was he's golfed 3 to 4 times as much. That may be true. But Obama has golfed about an average amount among other presidents. John Boehner told Golf Digest he golfed 100 rounds a year a few years ago. That's much more than Obama. Cost wise, I'm guessing if Obama had a vacation home his expenses would be much lower as well. Plus, the estimates and numbers thrown out for how much Obama is spending have been completely incorrect before, so I'd take anything with a grain of salt that doesn't have a source. I mean... I just saw different numbers to show that Obamao has spent an enormous amount of TIME on vacation. Bush had a set up at his ranch. Obamao is playing on beaches, seeing the sights. He doesn't have a work set up on the beach. or at gay bars. Obamao throws millions of bucks out the window, staying at the incredibly most expensive hotels in the world, with a huge cast, and even his family is on a second plane. It's a disgrace. And If Bush did it, he'd catch hell every single hour on this forum. Now? It doesn't matter what Obamao does. If Bush farts once, all hell breaks loose, but if Obamao farts seven hundred times a week, it's fine because Bush farted too.
