One Post
It's my belief if you are not from the US but play pro sports for a US pro team you should represent the United States, if not go back to your country and play for a basket cup or whatever. Clevfan4life
Does the u.s have to dominate every last sport on the planet? Would there be any point to watching basketball in the olympics? Some of these teams put up a decent fight cause they might have an nba player or two
calfoxwc
They could have a lot of family back in their home country, it would be great for them to cheer and have a chance of winning. Not seein a problem with it at all, unless it's a communist country.

The Gipper
No.....but here is something. A number of US born and raised athletes compete for other countries just so they can go to the Olympics. These athletes have some tangential connection to the country they play for, like maybe their grandmother was from there, and that allows a person born and raised in the USA who is not good enough for the US team to play for like Lower Slobovia or the Duchy of Grand Fenwick. (any old person here who remembers reading L'il Abner remembers Lower Slobovia...and the other comes from The Mouse that Roared)
