And the next day the can pick up a guy from the CFL.

There must be guys in the CFL that can play in the NFL. Guys that maybe got cut very early, went to the CFL and got better, and now would at least be good rotational guys.

There certainly have been CFL members that have come to the NFL in the past:

Note: I believe that the only player inducted into the PFHOF....and the CFLHOF is Warren Moon.

(Doug Flutie also in CFLHOF)

I wonder how that team - given a couple of years to get cohesion in a system - would do in the NFL?

Not that well I don't think. Their All Star RB I know was cut by 2-3 different NFL teams. And you know how fungible RBs have become in this league.

Honestly, if they were good enough to play in the NFL, most of them would be playing in the NFL.

Ran 40 time 4.89 & 33" vertical jump.. LB Akron Jatavis Brown 5'11" 222lbs.(love this guys game tape but 5'11"LB?) Ran 40- 4.47 a 3 time all MAC DPOY. DE- Trent Corney (Virginia) 40 time 4.69. 47 players find their way to NFL roster spots coming from regional combines, so we may have that nightmare gone.. Stay tuned..

Wouldnt be the first....plus, with that speed, he'd be a good SS project....

And situational LB as is the growing trend...

"Honestly, I'd like to see a team create a position for me. Not quite a linebacker, not quite a safety but use me and be creative," Brown emphatically stated after his workout.

That seems weird... and somehow wrong...

Maybe more MKC's in training but that's how it reads. Did not look like Akron's Jatavis Brown made it out there. Maybe he can drive to next Regional @ Baltimore or Mud & I can pay his bus fare :).

Few results Baltimore regional combine. (100 attended) WR Anthony Kelly (Kutztown) 4.40. RB Terry William (Kutztown) 4.43. TE Daree Goodwin (W. Liberty St.) 4.65.. WR Anthony Kelly also fell 1" short of winning vertical jump at 41". Again not bad when you consider WR Josh Doctson was 4.50 with 41" vertical. All 32 teams get results of regional, so see you in Minnesota tomorrow..

Minnesota regional combine.. Yep, you might have read Chris Johnson's 40 of 4.24 is now in jeopardy on a kid that mom got right. WR/RB/KR Wendell Williams who quit 2 colleges in 1 year, drove truck than mom got him right in grades at community college than transfers to U. of Cumberlands. W. Williams 40 in debate was 4.19 but can we debate a 45" Vertical (nfl combine 41") & yes he is a track star? W. Williams only handled the ball on 15 passes (8tds), 7 rushes(3 more TD's) equaling total yards of 662. As KR'er averaged 32.4 yard per, with 3 more TD's. not much more news yet on 90? that may have attended in likes of Akron's WR Imani Davis or QB Toledo Phillip Ely. Not sure of W. Williams measurements? & BReport is reporting room for debate on official time, but this dude can still fly if nothing else. The nothing else maybe his problem ;). (he's 5'7", 170lbs.)

Ya I've been keeping an eye on him. Arizona has got the last two fastest players in the draft (John Brown and JJ Nelson) so he's not going west.

Final Regional Combine in New Orleans. RB Lamonte Thompson of N. Alabama & WR Temitayo Aguro of Morhouse both had 40 times of 4.40 which would have scored 10th at Indy. Largest amount of attendee's as the final combine with 10 at most scouts. All 5 Combine entries go into a database that is forwarded to all 32 teams. The ones that pull some good numbers, may have scouts view all their game tape & combines in full. Just my option of the 5 combines. If it is not a deep draft as said, a lot of good UDFA will be found here.. most reports can be found at usa today & thedraftwire.com. Your welcome Ray Farmer :D

Balance of the league Schedule...

Rookie mini then a dry spell since not expecting much of anything RDFA-wise from us.

May 6-9 or May 13-16: Teams may elect to hold their one three-day post-draft rookie minicamp from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday of the first or second weekend after the NFL draft.

May 20-23: NFLPA Rookie Premiere. Invited Rookies (typically, first and/or second-round selections) must be permitted by their respective clubs to attend. Such players are unavailable for offseason workouts, OTA days, and minicamps during this period.

May 23-25: NFL Spring League Meeting, Charlotte, North Carolina.

June 1: Deadline for prior club to send "June 1 Tender" to its unsigned Restricted Free Agents who received a qualifying offer for a Right of First Refusal Only in order for such player to be subject to the CBA's "June 15 Tender" provision.

For any player removed from the club's roster or whose contract is assigned via waivers or trade on or after June 2, any unamortized signing bonus amounts for future years will be included fully in Team Salary at the start of the 2017 League Year.

June 19-25: Rookie Symposium, Aurora, Ohio.

July 15: At 4 p.m. ET, deadline for any club that designated a Franchise Player to sign such player to a multiyear contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior club for the 2016 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the club's last regular season game.

Mid-July: Training camps open. Clubs are permitted to open preseason training camp for rookies and first-year players beginning seven days prior to the club's earliest permissible mandatory reporting date for veteran players. Veteran players (defined as a player with at least one pension-credited season) other than quarterbacks or injured players may report to a club's preseason training camp no earlier than 15 days prior to the club's first scheduled preseason game or July 15, whichever is later.
