THE BROWNS BOARD

2015 Prospects the Browns Have Hosted

A total of 18 so far out of an allowed 30 (not including "locals").

A lot of the expected emphasis, e.g., DTs (including both of Clemson's?) are on the list, but interestingly no QBs or interior O-line.

Most are big enough names to have warranted their own threads, but about a third are in the "Who?" category.

kind of in line with what most of us have us doing in the draft via our mocks.

a lot of D guys (line especially), a couple of O-Linemen and sprinkle in the WRs and farmer and pettine's fascination with the D backfield.

Slow news time for the NFL. These visits are never telling at all of what a team might do in the draft. If you look at the lists of visits the last two years, you see the obvious names and a few mid-round picks who never ended up with the team. Scouting departments generally don't need these extra meetings, but I guess it doesn't hurt to take a final look at a few guys, or use these visits as a smokescreen. For example,

Of the 30 2013 pre-draft visits, 1 player ended up a Brown... Barkevious Mingo

Of the 30 2014 pre-draft visits, 2 players ended up Browns... Manziel and Connor Shaw

Interesting tidbit, thanks for sharing. I wonder how much that is seeing the prospect and passing vs. people snagging them before we were going to pull the trigger.

It is interesting though that both years included the first round pick.

Using deductive reasoning....thank you Sherlock, that means the Browns will choose their first round pick...at least one of them from someone that visits them. Shelton? Parker?

List does not include Player's that We Attended There Pro Day Workout at there Campus. Top Secret list would be handy but we know we were at Mariota's (Our QB Coach ran it) and Ohio States. Few players had diner dates with Browns before or after Players Pro Day. That list maybe longer than this one and tough to find..

Check out that link. They try their best to keep up with the meetings, but it is hard to say which pro days we were and weren't in attendance... Really, the game tape tells most the story, so the meetings, pro days, combine, etc... aren't the end-all be-all as far as who this team is targeting...

New23 Thanks. Like walters site for true info but walter does not like this laptop. Freeze ups and warnings.. Truer list though. Agree, We don't have to talk to talent to make him a target but damn we got to target THE better talent at our picks. Looks from this list, Farmers Scouts working key positions of needs. But Farmer > Scouts..
