Bottom level end zone tickets are going for $15-20...browns sideline section 135-ish for $50....yea it's going to be pretty desolate there.

They should offer 50 cent beers.

Too cold for beer- $1 shots.

mjp... you're the odds guy lately here... Can you explain the new (to me anyway) way that odds are posted these days?

I'm used to 3:2, 50:1, etc... but now everything is +105 and +2000 and +50 with the occasional -5 or -15.

Yeah I was confused by the the same thing Tour. mjp can correct me, but I think I got it, visiting a few betting websites. The simple way to think about it is a + is the underdog, a - is the favorite. I thought I could have gotten rich betting the Browns to go winless. 4th week of the season Vegas was laying +2,000 on that not happening. My bubble got burst when I found out that's not 2,000:1. What that meant was you plunk down $100 and if it happens, you win $2,000 plus your hundred back. (Essentially 20:1 odds)

This type of line is standard in hockey and baseball. A team is -150 so they're the favorite. You have to bet $150 to get that back plus "win" $100. Oh, and those Vegas bookies are pretty smart. You're never going to see a line like +120, -120. The difference is called "the juice". The odds are set so the bookies don't care WHO wins, they're going to make money regardless of the outcome. Of course, if there's heavy betting one way or the other they're going to change it- the same way a line moves in football if too many bettors are betting one team, the point spread on that team is going to go higher. Example- this week's 49ers- Jets game started as a pick 'em. Heavy betting on San Fran- you'd have to give 3-1\2 to bet on them now.

Man.... they even changed the name of their fee? Used to be "vigorish" or "the vig"... somehow "juice" lacks the same cache'...

Thanks h... if "+", then divide by ten and add 100... if "-", then don't, but do... Makes no sense, so it must be right.

At least you guys can watch it on TV! Be thankful you have a team in Cleveland.

If RG3 is still mobile he will be running A LOT! But that's ok too. Cincinnati has to prepare for that and they're pretty awful this year.

I predict a stunning win for the Browns with Crowell and Pryor scoring at least one TD a piece. I also think Seth Devalve scores! Hue should take a page out of Belicheck's playbook and run two tight ends who can block for the pass.

Browns 24 Cincinnati 21

Hey, one of the guys on the NFL morning show agrees with you that this is the win week.

Pluto's on board as well... the Cleveland sportswriter... not the Disney dog.

God how that movie sucked... yet somehow they only got worse after that.

How many balls did he throw into people's ankles today?? Looked like the ball was stuck to his hand!! His long balls ,unlike earlier this year, were straight hail Mary's. Early in the year he hit those in stride. Today they looked like punts. Experiment over. Put Kessler back in.

Waiting for Hueless to say "it was the rust". The weather probably isn't going to be any better in Buffalo this coming Sunday. Posted it in another thread- Griffin's performance brought back (bad) memories of Akilli Smith. 104 yards, and a qbr of 38- just special I tell ya.

With the 49ers choking, I have to say it- "Just lose baby". I'd rather go 0-16 and have the #1 pick than a meaningless 1-15 record.

What are the rules as far as tie breakers go for the #1 pick?

I've posted it in another thread BB. It's strength of schedule. If we wind up tied with the 49ers- we're screwed. The League figures all things being equal- if you've played teams with fewer wins- you must suck worse. We have several common opponents with them- Cowboys, Patriots, Jets, Bills, Dolphins. So toss those out. They've played a much weaker division schedule- Rams, & the Cardinals and Seahawks losing today didn't do us any favors. (those count X2) Plus they've played the lousy Bears and Panthers. I suppose if SOS turned out identical, it would be head to head. I don't think it goes past that, the next would probably be a coin flip.

OTOH, we have the (better) Ravens and Steelers X2, Redskins, Titans and Giants.

San Fran finishes out with the Falcons & Rams on the road, and home against the Seahawks. The game today with the Jets was their best chance at a win. Their odds of winning any of those are not good. Of course I think our chances of winning any of our remaining three aren't exactly stellar either. :)

I have no idea what Hue Jackson was thinking. RG III didn't even look like he could complete the easiest of passes for most of the day. There were many awful examples, but the worst for me was the throw to Devalve in the redzone. We desperately needed a first down, and Robert threw the ball 2000 miles per hour about 8 feet over the tight end. Devalve wasn't wide open, but he was OPEN. An accurate throw is a near sure first down, and a decent throw to the athletic Devalve gives us a shot. The announcers were like, "WTF was THAT?" The same reaction we all had.

Yeah, the weather isn't doing him any favors, and I'd give ANYTHING to have a dome game, or a game at San Diego. But no...this is US we're talking about here. Our two remaining road games are against the damn Bills and the Steelers. Let's just say it will be miserable playing conditions...yet again. And of course our home game against the Bolts will be just perfect conditions I'm sure. The weather is no excuse, as Dalton appeared to be doing well enough, but I'm sure it doesn't help a guy who hasn't played hardly at all in three years. What a cluster chicken.

And Hue ALREADY said that RG III is starting against the Bills?! REALLY?! Hue said that, "RG III proved that he belongs out there." REALLY?!!! Maybe Hue is just honing in on that first pick, LOL. The only thing RG III does is present the threat of running, and you could see how that affected the defense. The running game didn't come to life for no reason. But if he can't complete the smallest of passes, what's the point?

Maybe I should get off his back. Maybe I should try to understand that it's been a while for him...but my GOD. A ZERO QB RATING in the first half? If we just got ONE TOUCHDOWN in the first half, we'd have been in that damn game. UGH.

I think we'll see Kessler start one more game before the year is out. But, let's give Bobby G another game or two to see if he can remember how to attempt a pass under 50 yards downfield or to an open receiver. And there were plenty of open receivers yesterday.

I see the high ball to Devalve as just another evidence of grip issues which were in ample evidence all game with the exception of the TD drive.

It's occurred to me that grip strength could be just a piece of a more general, literal, arm-strength issue. How many weeks in a sling? How many more of reduced inactivity? When did strengthening rehab begin?

Seemed like when he did cut loose, then he was trying throws his mind remembered his arm being capable of... but the arm (hand) failed.

Then there's the whole other issue of the mind obviously processing about a beat and a half slow...

... except for that one drive.

Pretty sure he injured his left arm, no?
