OSU wins 27-9

UM has QB troubles and OSU will load the box and make the backup throw the ball.

UM defense will get worn down as their offense will have a hard time staying on the field

Plus it's in the Shoe.

GO BUCKS!!!!!

28 - 17 OSU

Idk the status on Speight. I don't see how we win without him. I'm not concerned about their passing game, but our LBs aren't athletic enough to stop JT and Samuel (my main concern). Our run offense should do fine, but without a pass offense to balance it out, we won't get much. We'll need big special team plays to win without a QB.

Michigan had improved tremendously with Harbaugh at the helm, but it's only year two. Haven't quite closed the gap on Meyer's head start. I think we're just one class away though.

I think you are correct on a special teams play or maybe some kind of gadget play.

Straight up though, OSU should be atleast 3 TDS better

Call the defenses even, call the OLs even, but give the skill positions to the Buckeyes plus it's Urban and in Columbus for what that is worth.... OHIO STATE 30-19.

I'm allowing m some FGs maybe a safety?

Woody, what were the recruiting class rankings like in the few classes before Harbaugh get there? And what was the 2015 class like? Natty's in year 3 happen, but it takes a lot of inherited talent. Think Harbaugh has that, just curious what the actual numbers are.

Ohio State should win. Not sure if they do. If this were a John Cooper coached team you could count on a TUN win....but Meyer may be different.

Let's assume they do: I also predict that Michigan State beats Penn State. Then OSU win the east out right. They will then play likely Wisconsin again in Big Ten title game. Another close win for OSU ....but for some reason I don't think it would be that close this time.(of course...if M wins, they win the division anyway).

Another thing to predict: Who makes the Field of Four?

My guess:

Alabama

Clemson

OSU

Washington

I think Alabama could ONLY lose out on a playoff spot if they lost to both Auburn and then Florida in the SEC title game.

I don't see Clemson losing again....do any of you?

Though I would love to see them play the ACC title game vs. NC...and then have our boy Trubisky carry the day for them.

Washington has 2 big hurdles to make it: today vs. Washington State...and the Pac 10 title game vs. Colorado? USC? Even if they beat WSU, they could lose to one of those two. USC already hammered them once.

Ohio State has big hurdles. There is no doubt that the OSU/UM game is about a 50/50 deal. Even if they win, there is the Penn St. loss....though I have predicted that they lose to MSU. Then the Big Ten title game vs. Wisconsin. I don't think it would be a 59-0 blowout like the last time they met there. Another close, hard matchup.

Hoke was actually a decent recruiter, especially defensively (ex: Peppers). Almost all of the starters this year, a lot of them with NFL draft buzz, came from Hoke's last full class. The issue though is that Hoke missed out on a few key positions (like QB. Which is why Harbaugh immediately got as many as he could to find the best through competition) and that players never really developed under the old staff (outside of defense, mainly the DL, cuz Hoke was a DL guy and Mattison was the DC).

So while Hoke brought in a good amount of talent, it wasn't being developed at a rate you'd expect from a school like Michigan, OSU, Bama, etc.

Last years class for Harbaugh brought in the #1 player overall in Gary, and we've played a lot of those freshman. This years class will be Harbaugh's official "full" class (has been able to recruit guys for 2 years), and it is shaping up to be pretty great. Most importantly, he's pulling in highly regarded QBs.

The 2015 was the transition class, and we only had space for about 14 commits (unlike some around the country, we don't oversign). No one in that class is contributing a ton right now. (The 2014 class was also small as a result of limited space).

So this isn't a bare cupboard situation like Carr to RRod was, but it isn't someone falling in to a wealth of talent either.

Rankings according to Scout:

2013 - #2 (where most of our starters are from now)

2014 - #27 (16 recruit class)

2015 - #35 (14 recruit class) (transition class)

2016 - #7 (Harbaugh's 1st class, tho he got a late start)

A CFP title in year three would be next year for Harbaugh. We'll get OSU at home and a QB with more experience. We just have the potential for last year OSU levels of talent exodus if enough people choose to leave early. We'll have to wait and see.

This feels like a Championship Game, 17-14 going to the 4th quarter! 110,045 waching it live.

Harbaugh looks like Bo on the sidelines. Plus this game is looking like last with the ball might win.
