Do You Want to Play the Game

OK...we can play the game...on a way, way, way too early basis. The game being: What do the Browns do in the 2018 draft!! Whoopee! What fun, eh?

Nevertheless....here are some potential names to keep your eye on for the 2017 college season....at postitions of potential need for the Browns....which I say may include...QB of course, naturally for the Browns. OT perhaps. Safety, OLB..and maybe RB

QBs:

Sam Darnold USC

Josh Rosen UCLA

Josh Allen Wyoming

....Walter football in their early mock draft has these 3 going in the top 5 of the draft

Jarrett Stidham Auburn

OLB

Arden Key LSU

Malik Jefferson Texas

Marcell Frazier Missouri

Safety

Derwin Jones FSU

Jordan Whitehead Pitt

Armani Watts Texas A&M

OTs

Mike McGlinchey Notre Dame

Connor Williams Texas

Mitch Hyatt Clemson

Running backs

Saquon Barkley Penn St.

Darius Guice LSU

But, note this: These are the two players that Walter has the Browns taking in round one:

First pick: Christian Kirk WR Texas A&M

Second Pick: Minkah Fitzpatrick CB Alabama

2d round: Nick Chubb RB Georgia

At Safety from A&M I would keep an eye on Donovan Wilson surpassing Watts as a higher draft choice next year. Conversion from CB to safety because he hits like a LB. It's a more natural position for him than CB and was an excellent defensive move by the DC.

Watts is better IMO. Don isn't near the athlete.

Here is an article on the very subject, clearly not too early for some...

LOL! Ridiculous. They think the Browns will get A&M's WR Christian Kirk in the 2nd round when most have him rated as a top 10 and almost all as the top WR in the class. He might be there still @ 8 overall, but certainly not outside the 1st round.

That was the first thing I took from it too.

No. The Browns never draft Ohio State players. I mean...I guess it is because they have already fulfilled their quota of Hall of Famers from that school?:

Lou Groza

Dante Lavelli

Paul Warfield

Bill Willis

Not to mention Paul Brown who coached OSU

...nor Dick LeBeau...whom they drafted by got rid of.

No, nobody good for the Browns has ever come form OSU1 (of course...in recent years, this is true: Robiskie/Powell etc,

Since the Browns drafted Paul Warfield in 1964 these have been the OSU players they have chosen:

1965 Ed Orazen 265 G 0 0 0 Ohio St.

1965 3 Bo Scott 32 RB 1974 0 0 3 28 73 554 2124 18 112 826 6 Ohio St.

1971 8 Larry Zelina 196 RB 0 0 0 Ohio St.

1972 16 Dick Wakefield 409 WR 0 0 0 Ohio St.

1974 9 Dan Scott 224 G 0 0 0 Ohio St.

1975 5 Jim Cope 119 LB 1976 0 0 0 2 6 Ohio St.

1977 2 Tom Skladany 46 P 1983 0 1 4 12 61 5 8 81 0 0 Ohio St.

1985 6 Mark Krerowicz 147 G 1987 0 0 0 2 3 Ohio St.

1995 1 Craig Powell 30 LB 1998 0 0 0 1 14 Ohio St.

2002 4 Darnell Sanders 122 TE 2004 0 0 1 1 28 18 118 2 Ohio St.

2009 2 Brian Robiskie

Odd, both this and Walter had the Browns taking Fitzpatrick and Captain Kirk....but in Walter's case it was with like the 5th pick in the draft....here it is at the bottom of round 2.

that's a sad sack of shit there. Too many of the "wrong" buckeyes. If only the current regime would have selected the "right" buckeyes like zeke, or bosa
