I don't think you could blame either side more in this fiasco, both sides have know about this issue for awhile(dating back to late Clinton early Bush era) and instead of coming together and getting actual legislation to fix the system they would rather use it to gain political points.

 

The current crisis is caused by a group of people who have figured out how to abuse a law written and passed before obama took office(that I believe had support from both sides).

I have always been annoyed at Bush for not getting the border secured.

 

The dems did NOT want it, and used it to political advantage.

 

That is why Obamao gets the blame. They WANT illegals here.

the Republicans are somewhat afraid to address that issue. Their fears may be founded but who knows? It seems to me that there should be some way two get traction among people who don't hate immigrants but do strongly disapprove of the open door policy for illegals. The Democrats, of the other hand, fully support the illegals and see them as a windfall at the voting booth.

Well I guess the problem really is immigrants tend to vote dem if they where more split this would be fixed in a week....

No doubt about that sad. But if you break in to a country for free shit you're going to vote for the party, or your friends will, that promises more free shit than the other party.

The once you foot the bill for the free shit are unfortunately becoming more and more of a minority.

 

One hopeful sign, possibly, is that it seems some African Americans resent the illegal immigrants who are now in competition for benefits.
