Nothing confirmed yet, but reports are that a malaysian passenger plane en route from Amsterdam to KL crashed on the border. Some reports suggest it was shot down.

Possibly, but they've denied ownership, according to RT. Also, the missile used was one that isn't readily available to terrorist groups unless they've been getting help from the Russian military (which obviously is very possible).

Stirewalt Compares Responses of Obama & Reagan to Downed Planes

AS SEEN ON THE KELLY FILE

Tonight on “The Kelly File,” Fox News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt discussed President Barack Obama’s reaction to the Flight MH17 crash, compared to former President Ronald Reagan’s response back in 1983 when Korean Airlines Flight 007 was shot down by Soviet Union fighters.

The Korean Airlines flight was shot down en route to South Korea by Soviet Union fighter pilots when it drifted into Soviet airspace, killing 60 Americans, including a congressman.

Reagan ended his California vacation and flew back to Washington, D.C.

Bolton: Flight MH17 Tragedy ‘Should Be a Wakeup Call’ About Russia

In a speech four days later, Reagan said, “This was the Soviet Union against the world and the moral precepts which guide human relations among people everywhere. It was an act of barbarism born of a society which wantonly disregards individual rights and human life, and seeks constantly to expand and dominate other nations.”

Stirewalt said that Reagan and his Secretary of State George Shultz immediately went on the offensive following the downing of the plane.

“They turned the tide on the discussion of the Cold War and on the discussion of Reagan’s plans by making clear what kind of conduct that was,” Stirewalt said.

O'Reilly: Putin Responsible for Flight MH17 Crash, 'Little Will Happen to Him'

However, Obama only briefly addressed today’s tragedy, and then he headed off to two fundraisers in New York City.

“His endless talking, his endless fundraising, his endless effort to control every 15 minutes of every news cycle saps him of the ability to speak with authority and resolution when he needs to,” Stirewalt said.

I don't really like to joke about 295 people being killed.

<yeah I know how sensitive you are...>>

It was probably the Russians or the Separatists who did it. But we will never know more then likely.

So who would possibly find any benefit in shooting it down?

This is something I really don't get. Malaysia is not exactly a powerful figure in world politics, so this isn't an attack on them. So it's a 'defense of our airspace' thing? From passenger jets? OK, companies will fly round, and you'll lose any income from that (not sure if there is?). Or maybe they thought it was an attack plane and shot it down anyway.

they broke it down pretty well last night on some shows i watched. it was obviously an attack on an aircraft in ukrainian airspace by the pro-russian separatists.

the phone calls between the separists leaders clearly thought they were targeting a military transport the size of a c130 and they fucked up and discovered it was a civilian airliner.

they have audio recordings of one top separatist saying towards the end of a rebel calling him that he shocked and in horror only to have the military leader basically say 'fuck it'. they got what they deserved.

he'll be up on a war tribunal charge of terrorism and war crimes in no time and will be hunted down like bin laden......by us.

I think Archduke Ferdinand was on that plane...

It's very well could be.. the situation can easily spiral out of control like when he died.

Zakaria on CNN made a good point. A civilian craft was likely not their intention but if a superpower(Russia) gives high tech weaponry(SAM's) capable of shooting down military aircraft to bunch of untrained\undisciplined terrorists(pro-russian ukranians) not taking the time to verify that it was civilian instead of military could easily have been the cause.

Reports are, that the Russians have given the proRussian separatists (+ Russian special forces),

one of two missiles that are capable of tracking and hitting an aircraft at 30,000 feet.

Like the "Grizzly". Once locked in and fired, it can't be stopped.

They've been downing some Ukraine military aircraft, and obviously thought this was one of them.

It wasn't, and now, the separatists have ownership of the black box of that aircraft, and "own" the

scene of the debris.

News reports are saying maybe 23 Americans may have been on board.

But, it's just starting. Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Iraq/Afghanistan, border crisis, spy base

at Cuba.

The next two years are not going to be pretty. That's the price for electing a worthless liar progressive

"present" voting, etc etc president to office. It's going to get worse, I think. I hope I'm wrong..

but that's what direction we are heading in. Big serious trouble.

Russia will coverup any involvement. I doubt this was intentional, but a major fuck up by some dumb ass with the training to operate this missile system. From what I understand, it takes several people to operate it.

That is what it sounds like they are doing, as quickly as they can.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/18/world/europe/ukraine-malaysia-airlines-crash/index.html

"(CNN) -- A spokesman for 21 international monitors who on Friday visited the Malaysia Airlines crash site in eastern Ukraine said the team wasn't "given the access that we expected."

Michael Bociurkiw, spokesman for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe team, told CNN's Christiane Amanpour the group was "only allowed access to about a 200-meter strip" for about 75 minutes at the site, which he said was guarded by armed men in uniform. "One of our top priorities was to find out what happened to the black boxes. No one was there to answer those questions," he said."

A lot of conspiracy theorist are now saying the cure for aids could have been on that plane. The top 100 scientist and researchers go down. Kind of odd?

Flight 370 was carrying 20 people from Texas who had patented micro processors for advanced weaponary.

I'm sure we'd have more than one sample in multiple locations if that were the case.
