miktoxic
fuck hamas. BUT it's sad that we are so entrenched with israel through politics that it effects the way the world views us and we have paid the consequences for it. the middle east should be turned into a landing strip for US planes to collect oil. blow them all the fuck up. calfoxwc
They are looking to stike at Israel while our government is far more pro-Arab, Muslim, and not much of a supporter of Israel. The next two years - all hell may break out. The lack of U.S. leadership has created a void that doesn't stop bad things from happening now. The Cysko Kid
To be fair the us government never stopped anything bad from happening in the middle east
calfoxwc
True, but now bad things are being encouraged by the lack of leadership in our gov, and the lack of support for Israel, and withdrawing prematurely from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as having our president be completely in support of...Muslims. Taco918
Egypt, the American backed mediator who has crafted previous ceasefires, and attempted to again without success, are now taking the stance of allowing Israel to go in, do what needs to be done (aka weaken Hamas to the brink of non existence), and force Hamas to basically capitulate. Isn't that what is wanted on the right? Cal you get to caught up in words and don't pay attention to the actions. Does the administration need to say they what a peaceful resolution? Of course they do. Do they need to make half assed attempts to find a political agreement by sending Kerry across the middle east to show the world we are trying to mediate? Of course. That's called politics. The actions, not the words, are what matter. Hamas' military stockpiles are nearly depleted, they are and have been under blockade by both Israel and Egypt for some time now (reducing their ability to replenish their stockpiles), they've alienated their major backer in Assad (as well as Iran) by backing the rebels (further reducing their source of stockpiles), and Israel is now going in on the ground to finish off the job. Is it Obama's fault that Hamas is going to be a non entity in the very near future too? No, an Islamic country working in concert with a Jewish country, without a powerful outside source that is allied with both, to kill Muslims is a much more likely scenario. Browns149
I don't pretend to understand their fight................................... But why does the USA care????????????? They have been killing each other for 1000's of years, and they are fighting over land that is about the size of Delaware? Why can't we just let them kill each other? The Cysko Kid
ISIS is the real problem over there but I don't hear much about it for some reason. Like the world is turning a blind eye to it kind of like the lawless mexican drug cartels. It's reported but sort of in a ho-hum manner unlike the sensationalism of whatever Israel is up to with Hamas this time. 700 people got killed in Syria over two days. The world is seriously jacked up right now

The Cysko Kid
Yeah for a terror group persecuting other people on a strictly religious platform I'd say it has a lot to do with it

DieHardBrownsFan
There seems to be an isolationist viewpoint in the USA like, just let them alone, etc. That is not the way it works. We have historically helped Israel because of the Holocaust. We can't turn a blind eye on world events because sooner or later it will bite us in the ass. The world is a much smaller place now, and we have enemies that would love to destroy us. Whether you believe it or not is up to you.
miktoxic
if there was oil involved we would be less involved......believe me. and yes religion is and has been the cause of more war and death in the history of mankind.
