The read option is a gimmic play and works well in college. We wont be doing it all the time. Its just another element for the defense to plan for. No one is expecting their QB to be a homerun hitter. The read is a gimmick in the NFL that is gaining traction, it is the base of many college offenses though. I know we aren't going to be doing it all the time, but JF isn't a bug dude. One wrong read or one good play by a defender and he's getting laid out. We'll probably get to see it soon enough though.
