On the other thread we talked about the nickname given to Scott Solomon of "Bloodbath" which is a great nickname.

How about Randy Johnson, who had 2 nicknames.....went from Wild Thing to the Big Unit....

 

Ironically, both are nicknames given to me by the wifey.... ;)

I thought it was Mitch Williams who they called Wild Thing (though...probably a dozen players got that after Major League and Ricky Vaughn came out)

FYI....Charlie Sheen actually throw a baseball at approaching 90 mph.

 

OK, he apparently was able to get up to about 85 mph....but like many others of that era when the movie came out.....he juiced up:
