CLE 8-0 top 8, despite everything only 1 GB going into today's game. One big rally from running away going into the break.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians last played in the hitter's sanctuary known as Coors Field in 2008

They return to the venue for a pair of games played over a 24-hour span Tuesday and Wednesday. The interleague schedule has teams on a three-year cycle. The Indians are facing National League West opponents for the first time since 2014.

The Rockies have ventured to Cleveland the last two times these clubs battled. In 2014, the Indians swept Colorado at Progressive Field. Three years earlier, the Rockies took two of three from the Tribe in Cleveland.

In 2008, the Rockies helped to push the Indians toward a rebuild. They swept the Tribe, the start of a 4-16 stretch for Eric Wedge's club. That dismal run dashed any dreams of a turnaround and repeat of the previous season's journey to within one win of a World Series trip.

Colorado's sweep dropped the Indians to 33-40. Less than three weeks later, the team dealt CC Sabathia to Milwaukee.

[How the Indians (luckily) turned free-agent-to-be CC Sabathia into Michael Brantley]

Of course, even at that point, the Indians looked like a shell of the group that reached the 2007 ALCS. They fell far and it didn't take long.

Paul Byrd, Aaron Laffey and Jeremy Sowers started the three games at Coors Field. They each paired with Kelly Shoppach as the starting battery. Ryan Garko served as the No. 4 hitter in each contest and Jamey Carroll batted second.......
