He's a simple exercise.....who...."based upon NFL production"....are our best players???

Cause Im trying to make a list of the top 10.....and cant......

Lets look at the 3 obvious "best players".....

1) Joe Thomas....everyones favorite....proven NFL star....but an OL who can only help so much

2) Josh Gordon....and amazing talent....man amongst boys....who has personal demons...

3) Andy Lee.....a punter (nuff said)

Now.....who are the other 7?????......hmmmmmmmm.....

4) Joe Haden?.....oft injured....basically missed last year....1 concussion away from retirement?

5) RGIII ?......Oft injured....didnt even play last year....one tackle away from retirement?

6) Pryor?.....WR with exactly 1 catch in the NFL?.....

7) Bitonio?.....the ONLY other OL who is NFL caliber....?

8) Barnidge....a slow one year wonder, who barely played for 6-7 seasons, then suddenly is a star?

9) Dont even know who 9 is....Traymon?....cause staff has him on the bench....

10)....anyone?......

Seriously....can someone name them?....because NO ONE stands out....not a one.....scrubs(all of em)

Thanks Tour!....appreciate that....

So.....statistically....Mingo & Kruger are considered 2 of our best "proven" players......and Barny's one season gets him on the list, along with Desmond who is out for the season(and a guy I was bitching about just 2 years ago)....

Yep....exactly as I thought.....some of our VERY BEST, wouldnt even start for 1/2 the teams in the league......

Well the one that got away may be starting for Dallas now. Romo broke a bone in his back according to just released information. Out for at least half the season.

I have high hopes for Nassib. I see a very fast, athletic guy who can be built to a fine edge by a really good strength & conditioning coach. Might take a year or two, but the base building block is there. But for him and Ogbah both, we need a 4-3, not a 3-4.

That's what I see, a guy with a high motor and a nose for the football.

I like Nassib.....picked him in the mock and am glad we got him, "if" we decide to go 4-3(like AG mentioned).....a real likeable fella he is(Nassib).....love his enthusiasm and the way he gets all fired up, etc.....but, he needs a LOT of work to be a complete player. I see a lot of deficiencies, which I think he will work out.....Ive mentioned he had 2 easy sacks(which he did), BUT, the GOOD news is that he closed the door, when given the opportunity.....Mingo and Krugs would have missed the tackle or over ran the point of attack or simply not close fast enough to seal the deal....so, to Nassibs credit, when the door opened, he burst through it.....

Seems the Browns LOVE 4-3 DE's who they will then ask to play 3-4 LB positions.....Mingo, Kruger, Orchard, Armonty and Ogbah are all traditional DE's being wedged into LB roles that diminish their skills and hurt our team.....and then, we take DT's and turn them into ends.....blech...

Horton is a key here, because he loves the ole DE to OLB conversion.....did it with Kruger & Mingo and, NOW, is messing with Ogbah......no likey....let Ogbah play ONE FUCKING POSTION and learn it.....stop messing with what makes these guys good....

Hope Horty is reading this and, eventually, learns from his mistakes....so far?.....not so much....

I sincerely hope we don't trade Mccown to Dallas now. Then we'd be sooo F#$%ed if RG3 goes down.

Exactly what I was alluding to with the phone call. Besides fulfilling my prophecy, it makes sense. McC's value may never be higher.

Realistically any games he might win for us will make no difference to our payoff chances. Add that he's an old QB in the last year of his contract and it's a no-brainer... IMO.

... or 3-4 DE.

This list actually gets worse #6 is Robert Griffith the SS not RG3. You can slide John Hughes III into the # 10 slot 1 of 5 Browns that have played 4+ seasons with the team.

Jamie Meder had some decent plays during preseason, and Terrelle Pryor has some potential. I'd add them to my "top 10 Browns players" list, not a very impressive list but hey, maybe it's all part of the new regime's grand strategy to save all their winning plays and strategies for the regular season ;) I'd also put RG3 on there, he's been under tons of pressure from the leaky O-line and still managed to stay in the pocket and make some throws, plus it looks like he finally learned how to slide. I'd add Isaiah Crowell for now, can't think of any other standout players based on this preseason. This is just going by the 3 preseason games, not based on any type of regular-season NFL production.

I'm really hoping Cameron Irving and Danny Shelton step it up in their respective positions, both lines are weak. Defense has looked shitty all 3 games. Time will tell, there are a bunch of rookies with potential to save this team from going 0-16.

I think you're going to have to wait until after a few games to see.

There should be a few rookies that stand out (Nassib, Coleman come to mind). Orchard & Ogbah have potential.
