dawg2fan
After they ran the ball at will on us last week, no luck this week against the Phins. Bad news for our D.

Opal312
I'm down here in Tampa and get to see the game tomorrow. Pre season or not I'm watching! I've said before the Browns could have drafted Noah Spence and I think he's going to be good. I think he might have been a steal of the draft. Dak Prescott too. I just hope some of our draft picks turn out to be studs. But I think we made a mistake not taking Elliot, Spence and Prescott in that order. TIME WILL TELL
jrb12711
I don't understand what gave anyone here the idea the defense was going to be good this year. It's been overtly stated from day one that this a true rebuild and young guys are getting the reps. It's painful to watch and I wish it was better but it's not like this team was ever hyped or should be world-beaters at this point. Just face the music the defense is going to get worked this year with the end hope that guys develop. It's just that simple.
gftChris
Indeed, hope that Orchard, Ogbah and Schobert look like they can generate a pass rush, that Cooper and Shelton can maybe stop the run a little bit, that our safeties don't get brutalised week in week out. Meanwhile, at least the O should be interesting.
CaineDeSoulis
If we have below average run defense it will be the best run defense ray horton has ever put together. Ray horton's defenses have always sucked at the only stat that matters. POINTS SCORED and TIME OF POS... Lets break it down this way. his yards against has been pretty good before, top 10 even. Suppose the opposing team runs 8 drives in a game starting at the 25 that means the maximum yards gainable is 600 yards. If we use last game as a barometer we gave up 500yards which means as purely yardage standpoint we defended the field about 16% of the time. Fuck it... I'm just pissing myself off watching a front seven trying their guts out to get pressure only to have the whole FUCKING SECONDARY PLAYING 5 TO TO YARDS OFF COVERAGE LIKE A BUNCH OF FUCKING PUSSIES. FUCK IT GIVE UP 4 YARDS AT A TIME. RELY ON THEM MAKING MISTAKES. CAN'T STOP THE RUN?! BETTER PLAY PREVENT STYLE DEFENSE. MARTY IN THE GODDAMN PLAYOFFS EVERY FUCKING GAME. Horton needs to go. It'll cost hue his fucking job if this shit keeps up or repeats 2013
Bob806
It may be frustrating as hell, I hope not. The goal is to get better as the season goes on, which I believe will happen. Might be too soon to tell, but 42-31 games might be what we see....like an SEC or Big 12 game every week.

Sorry but the O has yet to prove it can score 30 points in any game other than the one against the ravens last year. 1-15 in 30 point games for a season does not exactly point to 31 on average. Browns1216
the defense hasn't looked good so far. the only thing keeping me optimistic is that Jim O'Neil is no longer DC, I thought he did a worse job than even Horton in 2013. Let's see how the rookies do tonight. They can only get better from here, right?

It's a new offense with more weapons. I'm trying to be realistic and hopeful at the same time. The only way we see 17-13 games is in a storm or both teams turning the ball over a bunch. Tour2ma
I can see our 2016 Offense being more prolific... also much more "pass happy".
